Proposal The epic
A couple of weeks prior to New Year’s I started planning this epic proposal. The first task was to find the right ring that was suited for my wife to be. So I took a costume jewelry ring that she had in her jewelry box to a couple of jewelry stores to recreate it. After a couple days of searching, I found one that I figured she would like. Needless to say I lost the costume ring the same day!! I figured she wouldn’t be needing it anymore so I didn’t put in a lot of effort into finding it. I sent her sister a picture of the ring and asked her if she thought it was cool. She agreed that it was nice. The second task was to find a champagne fit for the occasion. I wanted something nice so I figured I would get a bottle of Ace of Spades, but the guy at the store advised me in a different direction. Now to this day, Tzarina is our favorite champagne. Usually we bring in the New Year hanging out with friends somewhere, but this year I decided we should do a game night at home and pop fireworks to cap off the night amongst friends and family. I went back and forth on the right time to pop the “big question” I thought about including it in a charades game we were playing but decided that during the fireworks would be more memorable. We played a few games, ate, and drank until the countdown approached. We went outside to get our fireworks show setup. It was during the countdown and fireworks exploding, that I took to a knee and waited for Denise to notice what was happening. Shocked and surprised, the yes took a few seconds to come out of her mouth. The emotions immediately took over the fireworks show and the flame to this journey was lit. To sum it all up, it was a night to remember!!!
