HOW WE MET AS TOLD BY THE BRIDE
We met September 13, 2015 at the Cromwell for all the fun stuff to do. From there things Casino in Las Vegas. We were meeting up just flowed, we became great friends. He was to go to a Trey Songz performance at Drais much older than me, more experienced at life, nightclub. I had just moved to Vegas a month at a totally different point in his life than I was prior and the only friends I had were my and honestly, he just was not really my “type” roommate at the time and one co-worker. I in the beginning so I never thought about us was ready to party and live my best life because ever being together but I was young and my it was VEGAS. He was a promoter/ nightlife “type” probably wasn’t the best type of man host so he knew all the great things to do in for me anyway. The more we would hang out town. I was excited. We went inside the club, the more I realized that he was genuinely it was me, my roommate and her aunt, he got such a nice guy, he always treated me with us front and center right at the stage. I saw respect, he made me laugh, he always made Trey Songz who was my FAVORITE artist, up sure I was safe, and we always had a great close and in person, it was one of the best time together. We eventually started dating nights of my life at that moment. I know in once he let me know he was interested and Jeremy’s eyes I probably looked like a young then November 23, 2015 he officially asked groupie lol. The night ended and we decided me to be his girlfriend exclusively. And we would make it a thing that we would just well here we are 5 years and one kid later hang out and go to the clubs together since madly in love and ready to commit forever. that was his job and I was new in town looking
AS TOLD BY THE GROOM In the past, I went through a lot of hurt, so I had prayed to God for him to let me not go through the pain again and to find my true love and be happy. The way I met Jada Bennett in 2015, I had started a company for promoting/hosting night clubs. I had been promoting/hosting for about 2 years. My ex-brother in law gave me a call and said that he had met a girl named Jada that wanted to go to see Trey Songz and ask me to get her in, he gave me her name and number and I called her to set up a time to get her into Drais where Trey Songz was performing. I met Jada around 11 pm on 2015 September 13 with some girls that she invited, one of her friends was her room mate at the time. I got them into Drais through a table that I reserved but the location was bad so we ended up going to the front of the stage. I notice Jada so passionate and excited about seeing Trey Songz. I was not of interest to her that night lol. And
I thought she was cute but did not think we would actually end up together. At the end of the night, I asked her if I can reach out to her whenever I had outings at clubs. Outings at clubs are basically when you invite coworkers and girls to get a table at a club on an off day to give the illusion that clients are spending money and also the image of the club looks like a good night. I would say it took like 3 months of outings and talking and I found out that Jada loves God and that’s when I thought to myself and asked God is this the girl for me, and in my gut, I felt that she was the girl that God intended for me to have. So once I started to get jealous of other guys trying to talk to her is when I realized I had feelings for her and I asked her on one of our outings to officially be my girlfriend. We have been battle-tested and here we are stronger than ever ready to be married and spend the rest of my life with soon-to-be Jada De Leon.
AS TOLD BY THE BRIDE The proposal happened October 27, 2016. I because we did spend a lot of money on those had just found out I was pregnant and I was Disney tickets. We went to watch the water miserable and sick. We but he had told me he couldn’t afford it right walked over to the castle, he rounded up at that moment which I was perfectly ok with. some of the Disney cast members and they I wasn’t expecting him to buy it right then started moving around in almost like a panic anyway. He had wound up asking me to go to set up pictures for us. I had no clue what wait in the car because he was going to go was going on. We went to take the pictures over the price of the ring with the jeweler next thing I knew he was on one knee. I and he didn’t want me to hear that, I was sick immediately burst into tears (could’ve so I didn’t mind it. He came back to the car been the hormones) lol I don’t remember and we went to Disney, during the course of our day at Disney we rode rides and walked through the park. He was trying to get his family to come for some reason and i couldn’t figure out why he was pushing for them to come to anything he said all I remember is yelling Disney on a weekday knowing everyone had yes and everyone cheering and applauding. to work. We wound up leaving the park for It was a beautiful moment in the end, but lunch. By this time I was so tired and just I didn’t save any of the pictures because I wanted the bed. We went to Carl’s Jr and he looked a mess! But I will always remember said “ I left my driver’s license at the jewelry the day he planned the proposal right in store” I yelled and fussed and called him all my face, set up a proposal at my favorite types of names trying to figure out how on place and I had no idea. By the way, he earth he left that behind of all things. Then never really left his driver’s license but that we had to wind up going back. He comes to was his excuse to go back and pick up the the car and says let’s go back to Disney to ring and he took so long at the water show see the world of the color water show. I did because he was trying to propose there but not want to go at all. I just wanted to go to couldn’t get any cast members to help him. the hotel and sleep but I reluctantly agreed madly in love and ready to commit forever.
THE PROPOSAL
AS TOLD BY THE GROOM Jada had given me hints of how she wanted her proposal to be and that was in Disneyland, her favorite place in the world in front of the castle. Once we were together for about 6 months and living together I knew she was the one. There’s a saying “what comes easy
gets taken away easy” and I felt that we had been battle tested through our relationship. Things definitely were not always easy but we lasted and I knew that she was the one, so I took her to Disneyland and at night in front of the castle I proposed to her.
AN INTERVIEW WITH TH WHO SAID ‘I LOVE YOU’ FIRST? JADA: I did off of a technicality lol but he really wanted to say it. JEREMY: Jada.
DESCRIBE YOUR FIRST DATE? JADA: We went to Game Works and had wings and played games it was so simple yet so much fun. JEREMY: Game Works
W H AT WA S Y O U R F I R S T IMPRESSION? JADA: He was really nice kind of dorky but he was a lot of fun to be around. JEREMY: Cute and Passionate
HOW DID YOU KNOW THEY WERE THE ONE? JADA: When we first started dating I gave him a list of 5 things I really wanted some were material things some were not but most were like really obnoxious lol I can admit. He worked hard and gave me every single thing on that list even though he did not have to but he did it because he cared.. and also because in some of the hardest moments of my life and through a lot of the tough things I’ve been through he was right by my side. JEREMY: I felt it in my gut and I prayed to God for her.
W H AT I S Y O U R FAV O R I T E T H I N G ABOUT HIM/HER? JADA: His heart and the fact that we can have so much fun together at any moment just him and I doing goofy stuff together JEREMY: She loves hard and passionate.
DESCRIBE HIM/HER IN 3 WORDS. JADA: Kind-hearted, Selfless, Funny JEREMY: Beautiful, Smart, Caring.
HE BRIDE AND GROOM WHO IS THE BETTER COOK? JADA: ME! But he does make the best fried chicken and fried fish. JEREMY: I am lol just kidding she is.
W H AT A R E Y O U M O S T E X C I T E D A B O U T O N Y O U R W E D D I N G DAY ? JADA: Finally committing to being together, it’s been a long time coming. JEREMY: The journey and building memories.
WHO LEANED IN FIRST FOR THE FIRST KISS? JADA: He did. JEREMY: I think I did.
W H A T I S O N E O F Y O U R FAV O R I T E MEMORIES? JADA: When we first started dating and he lived in his apartment I would go over every day and we would just stay in and order out and watch movies or play games and just make each other laugh doing the silliest things. We never wanted to be apart because we had so much fun together. JEREMY: A favorite memory is when we went to Disneyland. I loved taking her to Disneyland because she loves it and I like seeing the happiness it brings her.
WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING YOU’VE LEARNED ABOUT EACHOTHER? JADA: The most interesting thing I’ve learned about Jeremy is he likes putting ketchup on his coldcut sandwiches. I still cringe every time he makes a sandwich and if he makes one for me I make sure to yell NOKETCHUP lol JEREMY: The most interesting thing I’ve learned about Jada is she’s special, the reason being is it takes a special person to deal with me and she truly understands me and has the patience I require.
W H AT ’ S N E X T F O R Y O U T W O ? JADA: Hopefully moving, expanding our family by one more (prayerfully a girl), and going on whatever journey God has for us together. JEREMY: Sky’s the limit but humbly God knows what’s in our hearts and if it’s his will only God knows.
