WEDDING An Evening of Love

“Love is patient, love is kind. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4&7

Welcome to an evening with the Hall’s. We, along with our parents, are excited that you have chosen to celebrate with us. Each of you have played an important role in our lives. As you have helped us grow as individuals, we pray your blessings upon us as we continue to grow together. We thank you for being our support system, our encouragement, but mostly for loving us through the ups and downs. As we embark on this adventure called “marriage”, we look forward to love, laughter, and memories we will share forever. Welcome to Orlando, The Hall’s destination of LOVE!

HOW WE MET As Told By The GROOM

It all began in Daytona Beach, Florida. Monica and I would cross path at Bethune Cookman University. I started classes in 2011 second semester, however; I didn’t start seeing Monica around campus until the following semester. The guys and I were pretty attractive and trouble seemed to find us a lot. We made a lot of noise. Lol... But seriously, when I saw Monica walking the quad or in the cafeteria I would whisper to my friends about her, but never had the nerves to say anything to Monica. Why?? Well when I said we made noise I meant it literally and I didn’t think Monica would talk to me. For some reason, I figured maybe she’s scared or at worst think we’re idiots. Haha! Look how God works, the following semester I had a class with Monica. Which happened to be my favorite class! She may say I slept in class. Actually, I was peeping under my arm looking at her, the love of my life. Moving forward I ended up telling one of Monica’s friends that I was interested in her. Monica’s response was, “No, I am good.” So I decided to be an old school playa about it and flirted directly with her to see her blush and sometimes smile, smiles were tough ugh... I never pushed the issue about possibly dating again. I decided to let her come around and sure enough she did!! We started dating eventually after being friends and man oh man she’s been everything I could imagine. So strong, understanding, structured my gosh. When a young woman and put emphasis on “young!” can help a young man become a man. It’s awesome. She could have walked away with all we’ve been through and even from jump, not everyone is willing to start with someone who has a child. I’m just thankful God allowed our paths to cross. The love we share is strong. I’m excited for the journey we are about to take.... Further.... With a ring... I love you Mo Money!

8 | HOW WE MET

As Told By The BRIDE

Our love story began at Bethune Cookman University. Brian and I had a class together, at that time I didn’t know he liked me. One day my friends and I were walking through the quad, one of them turned to me and said, “Monica, that guy over there like you.” What guy? I asked. She replied, “The light skin one smiling at us.” I told her, “I don’t want to talk to him. He has a class with us and doesn’t do anything except sleep.” From then on, going to class became awkward once I found out he was crushing on me. He would just look at me and smile. One day Brian, better known as Peanut, finally asked me for my number, I gave it to him. We started talking and then he asked me out. I told him he could take me out even though I didn’t want to go. That date turned out to be amazing. We continued to talk and learned more about each other. As time would have it, we started to fall in love. He asked me to be his “girlfriend.” I said, “Yes.” Together, we grew stronger and stronger. Like every relationship, Brian and I faced obstacles, but we conquered them together. Brian showed me what real love was and that he could be the man I wanted and more. After 5 years of dating, he asked me to marry him. I couldn’t imagine spending the rest of my life without him. He is truly my king. I pray God’s blessing upon us as we continue this journey and write our story.

Family of Unity From the Parents of the Bride

Where to begin? It is so much that we can share about our baby girl, Monica. From the moment you were born, you have brought laughter and joy into our lives. You have shown over the years that you were born to stand out. From cheerleading, to running track, performing with the best band in the land, to becoming Miss UNCF, to our personal nurse and now Mrs. Brain Hall. You have achieved so much, in so little time. What can we say? We are so proud of you. You are an outstanding, beautiful, hardworking, God-fearing Black Woman, our Meagan Good. Brian, from the moment we met, your spirit connected with our spirits. We saw the love and care you have for Monica. Not only did you show our daughter great respect, but you also showed us respect. It was never Floyd and Fannie, but Pop and Mom. We genuinely appreciated and loved that. It brought us so much joy. Brain, we are not gaining another son-in-law, but another son and granddaughter, Bailee. As you two embark on this journey of two becoming one, we wish you both a lifetime of success and happiness. Every day is not going to be sunshine, but on those rainy days continue to love and embrace each other. Keep others (including family) out of your marriage. Always remember to put God first in all that you two do! Love Always, Pop and Mom

From the Mother of the Groom

To my Son on your wedding day. There are so many sentiments I can convey. It seems like only yesterday you came into my life, yet you have grown into A Man, an Amazing father and now about to marry this Amazing Beautiful Queen and make her your Wife. When you have disagreements, try your best to be objective and listen with positive energy. Trust in each other. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, it only makes you a stronger King. Be each other’s strength when confronting life’s headaches. Most of all, remember Marriage takes more than love. Monica, I’m so grateful that you have entered into our lives. Your humble energy is the bomb! You are beautiful, smart, and most of all, you keep Brian walking a fine line. It’s so amazing to welcome you with an open heart as my daughter. You’re sweet, kind, loyal, funny, and Great for Brian.😂 Love, Mom

Forever Our Angels Granddaddy and Peeda, I wish you both were here to celebrate with me this special day. I can see you both smiling down on me, but it’s not the same. If I could turn back the hands of time, the both of you would be here. Thank you for all your love, support and words of wisdom that were embraced upon me throughout our time together. You two will forever be in my heart. Love, Monica aka Lil’ Stella

Pop, Your life was a blessing. I will forever treasure your memories. Losing you made a grand impact on our lives. We will never forget the days you stopped by to visit on your way home. My heart is saddened that you’re not physically here to witness this moment. I know that you’re watching down on us. Walking alongside you has taught all of us a lot. Sleep on! We love you! Brian

Allen, How do I express my thoughts? I know God called you, but you were supposed to say, “Not yet”. LOL! Being around you helped me to discover my passion for cooking. Everyone around us did it, but you LOVED it! I can recall you coming home and experimenting with different cuisine. You expressed yourself a lot (talking), but it was one way you showed us love. I really wished you were here to celebrate with us! I Love you dearly, Brian
