Capital Projects Technology Roadmap ELEMENT CHAMPION Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities The FIATECH Element Champions shall:

Be a from a FIAETCH member company in good standing in accordance with the FIATECH Administrative Guidelines. Serve a term of two (2) years, with re-nomination/multiple terms permitted Promote participation in element activities and support FIATECH internal and external communications. Develop and maintain strategies, plans, and activities for their respective element in alignment with the overall FIATECH strategy and roadmap. Coordinate with all other Element Champions. Keep the roadmap current for the element, aligned with the FIATECH strategy and report on the delivery of projects. Solicit, review, align, and nominate projects for recommendation to the FIATECH board for approval. Maintain documentation and web site content for the Element. Maintain and publish an element conference call/meeting calendar. Collaborate with all element members to arrive at consensus and keep the element participants informed of decisions and representations on their behalf.
Suggested guidelines for champions: • • • • • • •
At a minimum Quarterly (by phone) communication with element team and meeting notes Recommended that the champion attend at least one face to face meeting in the year, but preferably both the members and tech conference meetings. Recruiting presentations for the webcast – FIATECH communications specialist Coordinate with other organizations that FIATECH has relationships with (OGC, etc.) Contribute to press releases relative to project status or completion and benefits Maintain a Blog/forum/wiki for the element. Nominal time commitment: o 8 hours per month to coordinate planning and meetings o 40 hours per year to update the element roadmap and tactical plan
