W H AT T O E X P E C T O N D E L I V E R Y D AY On your selected delivery day your order will be delivered either by DPD or our own delivery drivers between 5am and 9pm (if it’s one of our delivery drivers it can even be earlier sometimes!). If your order is being delivered by DPD they will send you an estimated hourly delivery slot on the morning of delivery, if you have provided your phone number and/or email address. We suggest downloading the DPD app for an easy way to communicate with your driver and ensure you get notifications about your delivery.
Please don’t amend the delivery date using DPDs in-flight options! You can track your box’s progress and make changes to your safe place here: https://www.dpd.co.uk/content/how-can-we-help/index.jsp We’ll let you know if your order is being delivered by one of our own drivers by email. Keep an eye out for your field&flower cooking guide and pop-up turkey timer in your order and make sure to keep them safe for the big day. Christmas orders between Thursday 19th December & Tuesday 24th December are guaranteed to be fresh for Christmas Day.
I F YO U A R E N OT H O M E TO R EC E I V E YO U R O R D E R Luckily, you don’t need to be in to receive your order, we will leave your order in the safe place you entered in your delivery instructions (it is worth checking these are up to date in your account). Our packaging is designed to keep your meat chilled for a minimum of 36 hours. Don’t worry if your ice packs have melted, this is perfectly normal. The meat will stay nice and chilled. The packaging we use is recyclable and you can refreeze the ice packs.

• Once you’ve received your free-range turkey, remove the packaged giblets from inside and refrigerate separately. Re-seal the bag and leave your turkey sealed in the fridge. Remove the packaging 12-24 hours before cooking. The giblets consist of the gizzard, heart, liver, and neck of the turkey. You can use them to create a beautiful gravy to go with your festive feast (see our field&flower cooking guide in your order). • Your turkey has been individually dry plucked by hand, so please remember any black tips will disintegrate on cooking and this is perfectly normal. These black tips are known as quills and they are the reason Bronze Turkeys virtually disappeared in the 1950s. • Place your bird in the fridge on a shelf by itself and undo the bag to allow the meat to breathe. Your turkey has been individually dry plucked by hand, so please remember any black tips will disintegrate on cooking and this is perfectly normal. • Before cooking your Christmas bird, please note it’s weight (on the label) so you can calculate exact cooking times. The approximate cooking times can be found in the field&flower cooking guide which should help you cook your turkey to perfection. Don’t forget to place the pop-up turkey timer in the deepest part of the breast and wait for it to pop up! • Please note our bronze turkeys can cook more quickly than a conventional turkey. Our fully matured bronze turkeys lay down natural fat and this fat conducts heat throughout the turkey. This means the turkey can cook quickly. Check the bird frequently to avoid overcooking. • We always recommend resting your meat, especially your turkey, as the joint will relax and the juices will distribute evenly. We suggest turning your turkey upside down when resting so the juices run through the meat to keep it moist.
CHRISTMAS BIRD SIZES For reference: our crown, small & medium turkey are 37cm (W) x 22cm (D) x 20cm (H) and our large and extra-large birds are 39cm (W) x 30cm (D) x 20cm (H).
