Fielding’s Media Psychology PhD prepares you to be a leader in this fast growing field. You will join students from a variety of professional experiences and academic backgrounds, from filmmakers, educators and marketers to social advocates and healthcare professionals, who come together to learn how to use the science of psychology with the power of media and technology.
MODEL CURRICULUM SEQUENCE You can craft the doctoral program to balance your personal life and career while achieving your educational goals. The curriculum enables you to complete the program in 4 to 6 years.
Media psychology is for change-makers. It starts with psychology, but it is an applied field. You will explore how human behavior, emotion, instinct, and perception can be put to work to make a difference. The program is designed so that your goals drive your educational path, whether it’s researching the impact of media and technology, designing effective applications, influencing attitudes or finding innovative solutions to global problems. The program has a low residency requirement (New Student Orientation, plus 64 contact hours). This includes participation alongside faculty and industry professionals in academic, professional, entertainment, and technology conferences world-wide. Our graduates are leaders in their chosen professions. They are top executives, entrepreneurs, educators, coaches, consultants, and senior ranking specialists.
