FIESTA BOWL KICKOFF LUNCHEON
The 2018-19 Wishes for Teachers application opened and will run through Monday, October 8. Fiesta Bowl Charities will match up to $500,000 and through community donations, hope to reach a final goal of $1 million for Arizona teachers. We encourage all Yellow Jackets to spread the word and encourage teachers to apply. Over the first two years of the program, Fiesta Bowl Charities donated more than $1.2 million to Arizona teachers. College football is underway all across the country and, in the Valley of the Sun, football fans were able gear up for the season at the Kadima.Ventures Fiesta Bowl Kickoff Luncheon. The event was the most financially-successful Kickoff Luncheon to date with 97 tables filled, 2,392 Community Champion Tickets and 196 Fiesta Bowl tickets sold, bringing the ticket event revenue to $98,050.

GENERAL TICKETS NOW ON SALE Individual tickets and ticket packages for the 48TH Annual PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl and 30TH Annual Cheez-It® Bowl are now on sale to the general public. Ticket prices for the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl start at $95, and the Cheez-It Bowl prices start as low as $25. Fiesta Bowl Executive Director Mike Nealy has been named to the Phoenix Business Journal’s Most Admired Leaders list for his strong community involvement and the positive impact he’s had on the Fiesta Bowl organization. Nealy and 24 other outstanding Valley leaders were selected by a panel of judges based on leadership dedication and the impact they have to their organization and community.

Y E L L O W J A C K E T S P O T L I G H T: J I M K E B E R T Number of Years with the Bowl: I believe this is my 20TH year as a Committee member. Boy, how time flies when you’re having fun. Positions Held at the Fiesta Bowl: Sales Coach, Engagement Committee, Committee
Chairs: ASU basketball Classic, Youth Football Clinic, Team Arrivals and Pregame Parties. Currently working on the Game Operations Committee.
Favorite Game: My very first Fiesta Bowl game and the one that in my mind put the Fiesta Bowl on the map. Penn State vs. Miami in 1987. Penn State 14, Miami, 10.
Memorable Moment: Being named Chair of the Year in 2006 for Team Arrivals. Not a
single player came on the team charter plane and we had to arrange rides to their hotel for every single one.
Favorite Job: All of them, just being part of the Committee, although the Youth Clinics are special.
Fun Fact: I’m fascinated by sharks - anyone up for a shark dive? Also, some people say I look like Nick Saban.
Why do you volunteer for the Fiesta Bowl: Simply, it’s fun and I love the impact the Committee has on our community.

Since 2012, the Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels has brought dignity and comfort into the harsh world of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Created by Lorraine Tallman, the organization provides ComfyCozy for Chemo apparel, a customized clothing line that provides button, snaps and zippers so medical personnel can access the specific areas needed for treatment while preserving a patient’s modesty. Through grassroots marketing efforts, the nonprofit has provided more than 7,000 ComfyCozy care packs across six countries.
