Path to the Summit

The annual Fiesta Bowl Spring Summit introduced a new aspect, Path to the Summit, in 2021 to promote diversity and inclusion for college athletics leaders and coaches. This event featured assistant football coaches and athletic administrators from underrepresented groups interacting with each other, participating in panels with industry leaders and learning career development advice. This experience provided attendees the opportunity to take part in networking, Q&A sessions and a backpack stuffing community service project.

COACH VAN MALONE, ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH, KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY
“I have had the opportunity to attend several coaching academies and seminars to grow as a coach. The Fiesta Bowl Path to the Summit was the most enriching experience that I have been a part of. The ability to interact with conference leaders and athletic directors gave participants the ability to create organic relationships that will provide for further growth opportunities.”
