TEAM OF THE WEEK: LSU TIGERS LSU took care of business in Arlington, Texas, with an impressive 33-17 win over No. 8 Miami. Ranked No. 25 to start the season, LSU forced two turnovers and sacked Miami quarterback Malik Rosier four times to keep the Hurricanes rattled. Offensively, senior running back Nick Brossette ran for two touchdowns while piling up 125 yards. The No. 11 Tigers head home to face the Southeastern Louisiana Lions on Saturday.

THIS WEEK IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY - SEPTEMBER 11, 2010 In the second week of the 2010 season, the James Madison Dukes pulled off a massive upset when they beat No. 13 Virginia Tech, 21-16, on the road. The Dukes were down 16-7 early in the third quarter but after a touchdown by quarterback Drew Dudzik and an interception that set up another Dudzik touchdown, the defense forced a fumble on fourth and two to secure the win and one of the greatest upsets in college football history.

This season, the Fiesta Bowl celebrates the 30th anniversary of the 1989 Notre Dame national championship played at the Fiesta Bowl and will bring you a weekly Fiesta Bowl Flashback. Click here for the first edition, highlighting Notre Dame’s undefeated season that ended in a Fiesta Bowl berth and national championship victory over West Virginia.
Now in its third year, Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program will be granting classroom wishes to teachers across the state of Arizona. After seeing that teachers spend their own money to improve the student’s experience, the Fiesta Bowl created this program to aid teachers in that effort. Teachers are invited to fill out an application detailing their school and classroom wish until October 8 for a chance at $5,000. In the two years since the program was created, Wishes for Teachers granted $1.2 million to Arizona teachers which has impacted over 60,000 children across the state.
In this episode, the Fighting Irish open the season against Michigan in a game that went down to the wire. Notre Dame All-American Chris Zorich and quarterback Tony Rice describe the victory.
