WEEK 4 WHAT’S NEW TEAM OF THE WEEK: KANSAS

QUOTE OF THE WEEK “I’ll just say publicly, one of the classiest moves I’ve ever seen. Hard to truly prepare for something like that, so thank you to all those that showed up today wearing pink or thinking pink.” Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson on Georgia fans organizing a pinkout to honor his late wife, Wendy.

The Jayhawks arguably delivered the biggest upset of the week. After their Week 2 loss to Costal Carolina, they redeemed themselves by beating Boson College, 48-24. This was the first time Kansas beat a Power 5 team on the road since 2008. After being down 10 after the first quarter, the Jayhawks came from behind, thanks to great performances by running backs Khalil Herbert and Pooka Williams. The two combined for 309 yards and quarterback Carter Stanley threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns. This week’s win serves as a confidence booster for the Jayhawks as they head into conference play on Saturday, hosting West Virginia at 1:30 p.m. MT.

TEAM TO WATCH: GEORGIA The University of Georgia is a perfect 3-0 to start the season. This week’s top 10 matchup against No. 7 Notre Dame will be the first real test of 2019 for the third-ranked Bulldogs. Georgia dominated Arkansas State this past weekend, 55-0, and its defense is comparable to a brick wall, giving up only 23 points so far this season. The last time Georgia played Notre Dame was in 2017 when it edged the Fighting Irish 20-19. The Bulldogs are led by quarterback Jake Fromm, who’s thrown for 601 yards and five touchdowns this year. Both teams are undefeated going into this week’s only top 10 matchup. Kickoff in Athens, Georgia, is at 5 p.m. MT with special guest, College Gameday.
