WEEK 9 WHAT'S NEW
Team of the Week: Notre Dame
The No. 13 Fighting Irish defeated the No. 11 USC Trojans 49-14. With the 1977 Fighting Irish national championship team in attendance, Notre Dame put up 49 points against USC, the most since winning 49-19 over the Trojans 40 years ago. After Te'von Coney recorded a sack and fumble recovery two minutes into the game, the Irish capitalized on the momentum with a quick three-play strike that ended with a 26-yard pass from Brandon Wimbush to Equanimeous St. Brown. With the play, Notre Dame set the tone for the entire evening. The Irish turned all three USC turnovers into touchdowns and held a 28-0 lead at the half. Notre Dame's defense kept USC off the scoreboard until the 10-minute mark in the third quarter and allowed the Irish to walk away with the victory in South Bend.

“
The whole state of Pennsylvania whited out, so we can take what we have that’s special and expand and grow it, and that’s what we’re trying to do with every aspect of our program, is to grow it. People say, ‘well I don’t have something white.’ Well you have bleach. So to me, it’s something I think is already special, but I think it can get even bigger. Click here for the full story.
