On September 13, the Fiesta Bowl announced that Arizona Cardinals president Michael Bidwill will be the Grand Marshal of the 2018 Desert Financial Fiesta Bowl Parade, presented by Cheez-It速 along with a multi-year partnership with Desert Financial as a title sponsor. Read more here!

Fiesta Bowl Charities announced that it will donate $2.5 million in charitable giving during the 2018-19 Fiesta Bowl season to 60 nonprofit organizations in Arizona. Read more here!

The 2018-19 Fiesta Bowl season is finally here! In order to take part in the events this year, ALL volunteers are required to complete a background check and waiver each year (even if you have completed one in previous years, you still must complete a new one each year). We encourage you to go online as soon as possible, as you will not be allowed to volunteer until these items are complete. Click here to get started!

Bring a friend to the Ellie and Michael Ziegler Fiesta Bowl Museum and help us kick off the 2018-19 volunteer season on Saturday, September 29 with free food, football, games and giveaways. Learn about all the exciting Fiesta Bowl volunteer opportunities that we offer throughout the year. Mingle with the Yellow Jacket Committee and staff, grab a light breakfast and enter to win some great giveaways and prizes. RSVP here.

The Fiesta Bowl Youth Football Clinic is hosting a clinic for boys and girls ages 7-14 on Saturday, October 13 that will teach them the fundamentals and a strong work ethic, develop their confidence and a drive that will help them succeed both on and off the field. Join us at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Phoenix. Watch last year’s video here.
SPI RIT’S BIRT H D AY
On Friday, September 28, the Fiesta Bowl’s official mascot, Spirit, will have his third annual birthday party. The party will be at the Jerry Colangelo Boys & Girls Club, featuring kids from different Boys & Girls Clubs in the Phoenix area and some of Arizona’s other favorite mascots as they compete in friendly games of flag football. First Year as Volunteers: 2004 for Tibor and 2001 for Susan Positions Held at the Fiesta Bowl: Media Operations, Hole in One, CFBP, Stadium Club, Cheez-It® Bowl Pregame Party, Football Clinic, Aerospace Challenge, Team Hospitality, Parade and Par 3 Most Memorable Moment: Stadium Club when UofA was at the Fiesta Bowl - 2014. The coldest Fiesta Bowl experience - everyone was freezing. Favorite Job: The cage at Hole in One Why do you volunteer for the Fiesta Bowl? It’s fun and the people (volunteers and staff) are great. We enjoy volunteering for various events/organizations throughout the year.
Since 2012, the Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels has brought dignity and comfort into the harsh world of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Created by Lorraine Tallman, the organization provides ComfyCozy for Chemo apparel, a customized clothing line that provides button, snaps and zippers so medical personnel can access the specific areas needed for treatment while preserving a patient’s modesty. Through grassroots marketing efforts, the nonprofit has provided more than 7,000 ComfyCozy care packs across six countries. Click here to read more.
