The artistic genre of still life was popular during the Renaissance. Symbols of the vulnerability of life and human vices were hidden in lavish bouquets and exclusive food dishes. The picture conveys an abundance, while at the same time it provokes, with the food that has been abandoned and is starting to spoil. The abandoned table is loaded with symbolism and hidden references. Artichokes are symbols of paradise, oysters can mean desire, while the lobster and silverware stand for wealth and abundance. Also the overripe fruit, fresh fish and the fragile wine glasses are reminders that time passes, everything is fleeting and nothing lasts forever.

FIGGJO PAX. SHARE THE BEST YOU HAVE. In connection with the 2016 Culinary Olympics in Erfurt award-winning designer Jens Fager was invited to design the porcelain for the Swedish national culinary team. Fager has a background as a chef, so it felt natural for him to collaborate with Figgjo. Now the product series is included in the Figgjo range and available to everyone! Figgjo Pax is particularly suitable for sharing concepts and social eating, but it also fits traditional dining. TWO ROUND, TWO RECTANGULAR AND ONE BOWL

The largest plate has a generous eating surface and is just right for a main course or as a dessert plate. The slightly smaller plate is suitable for appetisers or side dishes. In addition, the series includes two rectangular plates that are perfect for delicate light dishes, sharing food and buffet service. Last, but not least: A handy bowl for side dishes, desserts or sharing food. SHARING IS CARING

Figgjo Pax is a functional series that is easy to lay out, and practical when needing to serve large amounts to many people. Pax can easily be combined with other series from Figgjo.

ADD SOME GOOD FRIENDS

FIGGJO PAX. EASY TO SHARE. EASY TO USE. Soft lines and pleasant curves that finish with a distinctive bevelled edge. Figgjo Pax has an honest appearance, is elegant in all its simplicity – and is very user friendly. RIGHT ON THE EDGE

The most eye-catching thing about the Pax series is the characteristic edge. The plates do not have a rim, instead they have a wide, angled edge, something that gives a raw and distinctive look. The soft transition from the edge to the eating surface provides an exciting and appealing dining experience. Figgjo Pax is available in the colours olive, grey and beige, in addition to white. The earthy colours emphasise the design and can be easily combined.

ADD SOME SIMPLICITY
