Colors of Independence
August 14th, 2015 “At the stroke of midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.” -Jawaharlal Nehru India made a tryst with destiny in 1947. It is the time again for us to give a deep meaningful thought to our growth and progress as One Nation. FIIBians celebrated 69th Independence Day with complete patriotic fervor. Theme of this year’s celebration was the disintegration of Corruption, Terrorism and Discrimination. The celebration started with Tushar Jain, 1st year student reciting a self-written poetry based on the theme. It was followed by an excellent Skit put up by Dramatics Club on the three evils (Corruption, Terrorism and Discrimination based on this year’s theme) present in the Indian Society and their aftermath. The highlight of the Celebration was the melodious song sung by Albin Alexander of 1st Year. The Song, O Ri Chiraiya from 1st episode of Satyamev Jayate, was soulfully sung by him and everybody accompanied along raising the fervor in the FIIB Campus.
