Rolling in happy times with a series of achievements by Faculty, Staff and Students of FIIB, the month witnessed a highly motivating start. We had Rendezvous 2015, Marketing conclave on Reconnecting marketing for Connected Consumers and Katastasi, the three main events in FIIB’s academic calendar.

Team Games organized during Rendezvous 2015

Industry innovators of renowned companies from diversified sectors like BFSI, Financial Consulting, Manufacturing & Engineering, Telecom, Manpower Consulting,FMCG,IT, Media/Entertainment, Consulting & Research, Consumer Durable, E-Commerce, DOT COM, Travel & Tourism, Infrastructure, Logistics & Pharmaceutical around Delhi/NCR attended the smashing evening with Rendezvous-2015 hosted by the Career Management Center of Fortune Institute of International Business at ESSEX Farms, New Delhi on September 11, 2015.

The event was worth pausing for, enjoying and interacting with the industry experts who possess real life, real time knowledge and experience. Overall, Rendezvous 2015 was a marked departure from the regular events in the history of FIIB.

Recruiters Bite at Rendezvous - 2015

Mr. Gagandeep, Associate Vice President of Ernst & Young said “Rendezvous 2015 is a great interaction platform where we from the industry got to know firsthand about the wide range of corporate readiness programs that FIIB executes continuously to develop young leader managers in line with their mission. It was also a great opportunity to meet excellent students from FIIB”.

Mr. Deepak, Senior Vice President of Trustline Securities said, “Rendezvous 2015 is a great platform to meet FIIB students, faculty, placement officials, other industry people and make connections. It was a wonderful initiative taken by FIIB. I am impressed by the quality of students of FIIB and will definitely consider FIIB for hiring students”.

Katastasi-2015: A unique student Case Writing Competition

Katastasi 2015 came to a glorious culmination on 5th September 2015 at FIIB Campus, New Delhi. This was the second edition of the Internship based student case writing competition. While the earlier edition was open to Delhi-NCR students, this time around it was a Pan –India affair.

The competition was a 2 Stage affair. This year’s event saw 30 best and bright teams fight for the top honors. The first round was an elimination to identify the top 10 teams. In the second phase the 10 selected teams fought for the top 3 positions. The teams that made to this year’s final round were NAARM (Hyderabad), XIM (Bhuvaneshwar), IIM-K, NIRMA University ( Ahmedabad), Siva Sivani Institute of Management (Hyderabad), FIIB and 2 teams each from SIBM ( Pune), and XISS ( Ranchi).

IN THE SPOTLIGHT MARKETING CONCLAVE FIIB’s Marketing Club “The Brand Rovers” 2015 Edition organized a Marketing Conclave themed, “Re-inventing Marketing for Connected Consumers” at Fortune Institute of International Business, New Delhi on September 19, 2015. The conclave provided the students with an unprecedented opportunity to learn from the experts of the Industry. The Conclave also saw an enthusiastic response from students during the student presentation session loaded with data, ideas and insights.

The two Industry Panel Discussions saw speakers from renowned companies such as Sharp Business Systems Pvt. Ltd.; Select City Walk; Ogilvy One Worldwide; OLX India; printvenue.com, Fashion and you; General Electrics.

FIIB’s team ’Arihant’ stood second runner-up in Katastasi 2015 Under the guidance of Dr. Nimit Gupta, team ’Arihant’- Prateek Seth(PGDM-IInd year) secured second runner-up position with a cash prize of 10000 INR in a Case writing competition-Katastasi 2015 organized by FIIB, New Delhi.

THROUGH THE CORRIDORS FSE-The Finance Club of FIIB Finance Club successfully conducted "Battle of Brains" on Thursday, 10th September,2015.This activity laid emphasis on being updated with the latest events in financial domain and basic knowledge of finance.

Total of seven teams participated in the competition.

The judges for the event were Prof. F.M.A Khan and Dr. Asheesh Pandey.

WINNERS- Shivam Bajaj and Parik Sachdeva RUNNERS UP- Ishan Gupta and Bishakh Dutt Jha.

Teacher’s Day Celebrations

The Teachers day was celebrated by FIIB community on 5th September with great zeal and fervor . We saw many hidden talents of faculties with lots of fun. The day was full of fun and frolic where we saw many hidden talents of the faculties and enjoyed the show. The event began with the skit by the students who performed exceptionally well in order to celebrate the spirit of the day.
