To enter the Student Designer Show, you should: Complete a registration form. Please find the registration form at the end of this Kit, or available online at www.fijifashionweek.com.fj. FJFW will use the information provided on this form as part of the selection process. Please be sure to complete all parts of the form as incomplete forms may not be accepted. Registration forms are due 1 March 2016. Pre-registration is essential. We need to know the number of schools participating in the show to ensure that our Production Team is prepared.
Create a storyboard for the collection that you would like to show. Your storyboard enables FJFW to consider your look and where it will fit into the show. Your storyboard should include fabric swatches, the front and back of a design, the colour palette and inspiration for your collection. If you are selected, your storyboard may be used to promote your participation in the event.
Show us a sample. FJFW is the premiere fashion event in the Pacific and it is imperative for us to only show garments that are runway ready and finished to industry standards. A finished garment that you intend to show should be sent / delivered to FJFW Office, 72 MacGregor Road, Suva. If you are unable to present a garment in Fiji, please send a detailed photograph of the outside of a garment shown on a model and a photograph of the inside garment showing seams or hem finishes or other major construction.
Supply your own models.
Number of looks. You should design and have made 4 looks only: 2 x Daywear; 1 x Streetwear and 1 x Printed Sulu and Shirt or T-shirt.
