Sandro Binelli Capo Dipartimento Automotive, Finarte

Dear enthusiast, It is a great pleasure for me to present “Automobili e Motociclette”: the second FINARTE online auction with an automotive theme, with important collector’s items. It is the first of a series of events that will mark 2021, where the Automotive department of FINARTE, in collaboration with AUTOMOTIVE MASTERPIECES, will offer 59 cars and motorcycles of exceptional quality, for all tastes and availability. The choice makes us particularly proud. From delicacies, such as the Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT prepared Group 2 in Autodelta, with an important past of racing and victories. To the always rich choice of cars with a past on the roads of the Mille Miglia, such as the Fiat 1100 B, or the sporty Panhard Dyna X86 Spider, followed by a list of 15 cars eligible for the red arrow. As is now a pleasant habit, the choice of Porsche cars of all types is large and varied. As always, FINARTE also has the privilege of presenting truly one-of-a-kind pieces, instant classic, which have sparkled on the platforms of international shows such as the Castagna Alfa Romeo Vittoria, or the Touring Superleggera Maserati Sciàdipersia. Finally, there are goodies for the finest palates, such as the Moretti 750 Alger-Le Cap, and many barnfinds available, with truly unmissable budgets. 15, on the other hand, is the number of motorcycles at auction, which include real rarities, special vehicles and great classics for the most demanding riders. The leitmotif of the auction are the many investment opportunities, with prices and estimates that have been, if possible, evaluated with even more attention. New in this auction: many lots at auction offer the option of “buy now” purchase. Our team is at your disposal for any further information on the cars and their history.

It all started with the “Balilla” in the Thirties, with which mass motorization in Italy began. The name was the result of propaganda, but sympathy and affection have always surrounded this machine, of which everyone in Italy has a memory. Produced in multiple versions for every need, it became a “vehicle of desire” in specimens like this one, convertible and suitable for romantic walks. A cared example with a deep and long restoration in the 80s and since then kept in the same collection.

Known as the “Topolino di Milano”, the car has always circulated in the Lombard capital. Used until 1965, the car was stored in a shed near Porta Genova in Milan until, in 1974, a collector began a thorough restoration. The mechanics are overhauled with original parts by Luca Biraghi, a famous Topolino engine tuner. The bodywork also receives adequate care. After the first 3,000km the Topolino is parked among the other cars in the collection for twenty years. In 1994 it was sold to another collector who will use it for only 1,500 km for the next 27 years. The magazine Automobilismo d’Epoca wanted to tell it.

The 1100 was a popular car, the “average” car of the Italians par excellence, taking them from the Balilla to modernity. Born quiet, it found herself having a sporting DNA and ran, as in this case, with success. This perfectly restored specimen takes us back to its glories, to its participation in the Mille Miglia in 1950 and can do it again, being easily enrolled in one of the current Mille Miglia re-enactments.

There are many cars loved for one reason or another. Some recall specific aspects of our history. Few, like the Fiat 1100, tell so many stories of Italy, from the late 30s to the late 60s. The 1100 was born from an offshoot of the Fiat 508C, the Nuova Balilla 1100 and was nicknamed “musone” due to the imposing grille. The Fiat 508 C was first introduced in 1937, powered by a 1,089cc 4-cylinder engine, instead of the previous 1-liter Balilla. Power increased by a third, to 32 hp at 4,000 rpm. At the time, its comfort, handling and performance were prodigious, making it “the only car for the people that was also the car for a driver”. Unusual for a low-priced car of the time was the independent front suspension. In 1939 the car underwent a makeover of the nose and became the Fiat 1100, sometimes known “retrospectively” as the 1100 A to distinguish it from the following models. The car had received a taller and more defined grille, which earned it the popular nickname of 1100 “musone”: with horizontal chrome bars, the top three extending backwards on windowshaped openings on each side of the engine hood, redesigned. There were six body types available, all derived from the previous model: sedan, convertible sedan, convertible, sports sedan, long wheelbase and taxi. No significant changes were made to the mechanics of the car. After World War II, in 1948, the 1100 received some mechanical and interior updates and was renamed 1100 B. The revised 1100 B engine produced 35 hp at 4,400 rpm, FINARTE

thanks to larger intake and exhaust manifolds and to a larger carburetor. Inside, a new steering wheel and new instrumentation. The 1100 B was available as a sedan, long wheelbase and taxi. A total of 25,000 units were built between 1948 and 1949. The 1100 B only lasted a year, until 1949, when the car was reintroduced with a new trunk and a new name, 1100 E. 23 and 24 April 1950: at the Mille Miglia, no less than 204 of the registered starters were production cars. In that year, history meets legend: after thirteen hours of driving that led him to victory, with about seven minutes ahead of the crew that followed, Count Giannino Marzotto got out of his car wearing a double-breasted suit and a tie matching the color of his car, a Ferrari 195 S Berlinetta Touring in an unusual pastel blue livery. But other stories alternate that year during the race; one is the one that brings, with race number 114, the car here in the auction to cover the 1500 km route without fail, with the crew Paolo Rossi - Alessandro Rossi, to rank 125th overall and 35th in the Turismo 1100 category, maintaining a respectable average speed of 86.24 kph on the course. The car has therefore obtained the certification of the 1000 Miglia Register and the proof of the time is evidenced by numerous photos that portray it both in Brescia and in the passage through Florence. The car currently has Dutch papers and has obtained the Fiva certificate. It has the Chronological Extract which lists all the transfers of ownership in the history of the car, in Italy. The car is presented in a wonderful ash blue in the same livery with which it raced in 1950, with the same race numbers, the insignia of the “Squadra Garisenda” team, the third central headlight.

According to Jeremy Clarkson, despite the unfavorable climate, they are buying… “more convertibles in Britain than any other country in Europe.” The love for spiders has generated multiple successes: the MG T series is a range of two-seater sports convertibles with separate chassis, produced by MG from 1936 to 1955. The TD is the penultimate variant of the model. With a “classic” aesthetic and brilliant performance, with a reclining windshield to fully enjoy the wind (and scratch the aerodynamics), this model is in exceptional condition. Fully restored in an original cream yellow livery with red interior.

If there is a brand equally linked to the concepts of luxury and sportiness, it is Jaguar. The British brand had an unbeatable weapon immediately after the war: the first production car capable of 200 km/h; about 120 miles per hour, hence the name XK 120. The model is much loved by collectors and you can find examples to be restored or restored; But it is difficult to find a completely and exceptionally preserved specimen like this one, in the color, in the upholstery, in every detail but perfectly maintained and functioning: a true and unique, unmissable testimony.

Handicrafted, it has participated in the last four editions of the Mille Miglia of speed, in 1954, 1955, 1956 and 1957 and in some of the most important races on the Italian territory of those years. Since 1986 had a second exciting career in re-enactment races for vintage cars.
After the first racing season, in 1955 the nose received a larger and more classic air intake with a design reminiscent of the Ferrari styles of the time.
In the words of Ferry Porsche: “… I saw that if you had enough power in a small car it is nicer to drive than if you have a big car which is also overpowered. And it is more fun. On this basic idea we started the first Porsche prototype.”This idea is expressed by this specimen preserved in exceptional conditions, ready to be driven with hair in the wind.
THE MODEL The 356 was created by Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche, (son of the Ferdinand founder of the German company), who founded the Austrian company. Like the Volkswagen Beetle designed by Ferdinand Porsche Sr., the 356 was a four-cylinder, air-cooled, rear-engine, rear-wheel drive car with unitized pan and body construction. The chassis was a completely new design as was the 356’s body which was designed by Porsche employee Erwin Komenda, while certain mechanical components including the engine case and some suspension components were based on and initially sourced from Volkswagen. The 356 was a luxury sports car and Porsche’s first production automobile. Engineering innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity. Production started in 1948 at Gmünd, Austriaand moved, in 1950 to Zuffenhausen in Germany, where the first 356 -also called, retrospectively, “Pre-A”- were built. In 1956, the 356 was replaced by the 356 A, launched on the market with five engines: 1300 with 44 hp; 1300 Super with 60 CV; 1600 with 60 CV; 1600 Super with 75 CV; 1500 GS Carrera with 100 hp. The modifications to the car were part of the so-called “Technical Program 1” (T1). Aesthetically the 356 A differed from the first 356 mostly for a curved panoramic windshield, in one piece and also for a front bonnet handle modified with a recessed Porsche Crest. Since 1957, the integrated rear lights had a teardrop shape. In 1958 (T2) the 1300 models were put out of production. The tailpipes of the 1600 models ended between the bumper rails for greater ground clearance. The chrome housing with plate lighting and reverse light was mounted under the license plate itself. All versions were also available in an open body (Cabriolet and Speedster later replaced by the Convertible D). During 1959 the 356 A was replaced by the 356 B. The general production of the 356 continued until April 1965, well after the new 911 model had made its debut in the fall of 1963. About 76,313 units were produced. Of these, the cabriolets produced in 1959 were 944.

Rara.

The single-cylinder Ducati was the workhorse of many riders who raced in uphill. According to many it is the most beautiful single-cylinder ever made in the world. The engine, in the Desmo version, showed very large processing margins. The “mono” Ducati was light and easy to handle. Ducati itself did not field motorcycles in the races but, in fact, the NCR (Nepoti Caracchi Racing) team was the works racing team. Collaborating up to the present day. The Ducati specimen at auction was therefore born to race: made by NCR hands and today restored in impeccable condition. Rare.

144 FINARTE
THE AUTODELTA The Alfa Romeo department that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the racing cars of the Arese house has been referred to as the Alfa Romeo Racing Department. But this detachment is also known as Alfa Corse and Autodelta depending on the period covered; it is currently not active. However, during its more than one-hundred-year history, the official Alfa Romeos have enjoyed successes and victories in practically all motor sports categories, ranging from the Formula 1 World Championship to rallies and single-make championships. Its symbol is well known: a green four-leaf clover on a white field, since 1923, when it was painted by Ugo Sivocci on the hood of his car as a lucky charm before winning his first Targa Florio. A peculiarity of the Milanese company’s racing department is that it was the birthplace of Scuderia Ferrari, founded in 1929 in Modena by its ex-driver Enzo Ferrari to run gentleman-drivers and professional drivers in Alfa Romeo cars. In 1963 Carlo Chiti and Ludovico Chizzola, supported by the unofficial consent of the Milanese company, founded Auto Delta in Udine, an autonomous company to design and build Alfa Romeo racing cars. In one year the Auto Delta becomes Autodelta and is directly taken over by Alfa Romeo and, while remaining an external company, it becomes the official Alfa Romeo racing department. The headquarters is progressively moved to Settimo Milanese and under this effigy it will take care of all racing Alfa Romeos until 1983, from the Alfasud Trophy to Formula 1. Animated by the engineer Carlo Chiti who is in charge of both the design and management of the cars in the track, wins are obtained with the Giulia TZ and TZ2, the GTA/GTam, all the Sport Prototipo Tipo 33, the Alfetta Gt/GTV rally cars, the Alfasud Ti Trofeo of the single-make trophy and since 1979 we also return to Formula 1. In this period there are many famous drivers who defend the colors of Alfa Romeo. Among them, Jean-Claude Andruet who participated in the world rally championship from 1973 to 1986, achieving three wins and seven podiums.
THE ALFETTA GT GRUPPO 2 AUTODELTA The Alfetta GT chassis no. 009461 in this lot is a former Autodelta official car, with an important sporting record. Its grand touring nature was transformed into that of a racing car by the hands of the official sports department, according to the specifications of Group 2, then in force. Dressed in the most classic Alfa Romeo rally livery: Alfa red with a matt black bonnet. Born 1.8 liters of displacement (1779 cc), it was increased to 2 liters (1995 cc) with the increase in the bore. The gearbox is a 5-speed Autodelta, with straight teeth. It features a 50% self-locking differential and self-ventilated Lockheed brakes. It developed a power of 180/190 hp and reached 210 hp with the 16-valve head and fuel injection. The Alfetta GT chassis no. 009461 was one of the nine Alfetta GTs prepared by Alfa Romeo for the 1975 rally season. The 009461 is one of the two surviving and the only red colored; the other is the yellow chassis no. 001424. The 009461 debuted together with the entire Alfa Romeo team at the Costa Brava rally in February 1975 with Ballestrieri-Nannini, a month later, in March ‘75, the car scored the first significant result for Alfa Romeo with Ballestrieri-Gigli at the rally Lyon Charbonier, finishing in 3rd place overall and 1st of GR.2. The car ran eight races between France and Italy, winning its group twice: at the rally Lyon Charbonier mentioned above and with Svizzero-Masetto at the San Giacomo rally in May 1975, the third round in Italian Rally Championship. The official Alfa Romeo drivers Ballestrieri, Svizzero, and Andruet raced with the 009461. In 1976, after the decision not to continue in rallies, Alfa Romeo sold the Alfettas, 009461 was bought by the Jolly Club of Milan. With the technical director Mauro Nocentini, the car continued its competitive career with some private drivers of Milan. In 1982 the car passed to the Tevar team, owned by the Tevar Srl company with which it made some races and then ended up in the hands of a private collector. In 2016, the former ex-driver Alfa Romeo Chicco Svizzero, after many years, manages to buy the car and devotes himself to a conservative restoration to keep the originality of the car intact, following his memory and the numerous photographs in his possession; the restoration involved the seat lining which was replaced with a correct one, and a revision of the mechanics was carried out, with the replacement of worn parts. At the end of the restoration, the Alfetta returned to participate with Chicco Svizzero in some events in Italy but never did any competition. The car has all the details of the Alfetta GT ex Autodelta works car, including some peculiar ones: the footrest made for the charming Biche, the Andruet’s codriver, which being short in stature needed support to “anchor” to the seat, the box for the intercom branded Autodelta, plastic cradle seats, wooden gear knob and finally an important detail: the “window” to access the rear shock absorbers. In the years following the restoration, the car was seen and recognized in its components by the former Alfa Romeo engineer Arnaldo Tonti and by the former driver Amilcare Ballestrieri, each of whom wrote and signed their testimony on the authenticity of the car. The car has never raced to date; it is featured in the book “Alfa Romeo and Autodelta in rallies” and in an article in the Italian magazine Ruoteclassiche of January 2019 by Emanuele Sanfront. The car is accompanied by the original Milan plates and the original booklet with the first “Autodelta spa.” The preparation of the car, with Gr. 2 specifications, still includes today a very long list of details: battery switch, Halda tripmaster, 4 Carello Megalux additional headlights, widened fenders, magnesium rims, carved slick tires, stainless steel free exhaust, complete mechanical preparation, racing seats with 4-point belts, roll-bar, reinforced, lightened and emptied body, Autodelta intercom system. Completa.

The evolution of the Beetle with the McPherson suspension was the model 1302 and, later, with the panoramic windscreen 1303, but the popular name was different: Maggiolone in Italy, Big Beetle in the USA. Because of the “big nose”! In the convertible version it was particularly loved and became a cult within the cult. In this maniacally restored specimen, it feels like returning to 1979 and turning on the key for the first time and letting the 1200 cc slyly take us through the streets.

Towards the end of the 19th century, the collaboration with the Ottolini and Ricordi company, importers for Italy of Benz quadricycles, began. At the dawn of the twentieth century, the automobile became a symbol of the new industrial age. In 1905, upon commission from Queen Margherita di Savoia, Castagna created a white double phaeton on a Fiat 24-32 HP chassis, equipped with all kinds of accessories available at the time. The famous “Aerodinamica” was created in 1913, built for Count Ricotti, using an ALFA 40-60 HP chassis. The shape of the bodywork was inspired by the spacecraft of an airship and is considered the first example of a “monovolume” in the history of the automobile. In 1915, upon the death of the founder, the company management was taken over by his son Ercole who, as a consequence of

Particolare successo, negli Stati Uniti come in Europa, ebbero i modelli Isotta Fraschini 8 AS carrozzati coupé de ville e cabriolet.
the constant increase in orders also from abroad, decided to expand the production structure. The company begins to collaborate with the major Italian and foreign manufacturers of chassis and cars, especially with the most exclusive ones such as Isotta Fraschini, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Daimler-Benz, Hispano-Suiza. Particularly successful, in the United States as in Europe, were the Isotta Fraschini 8 AS models with bodywork coupé de ville and cabriolet. The exhibition in New York benefits the company so much that it pushes Ercole Castagna to move all production to the new factory which is launched at the highest speeds producing, as well as components for the nascent aeronautics and automobile industries, more than 100 cars a year. In 1919 the body shop is the first in Italy with 400 employees and a work area of 32,000 square meters of which 20,000 are covered. The production on behalf of third parties was also well underway: thanks to the galvanic chromium plating department, the first to be installed in Italy, many processes were carried out for external companies in the furniture, components and small metal parts sectors. Among the various companies, the Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits should be mentioned for the finishing and production of elements for railway carriages. The fame achieved in those years made her receive praise from various prominent personalities, such as Gabriele D’Annunzio. In 1939 the company passed under the control of his younger brother Emilio Castagna, who graduated in visual arts from the Brera Academy. realizzazione di alcune show car su meccanica Alfa Romeo, Cisitalia e FIAT.
innovative technical proposals, also the construction of some show cars on Alfa Romeo, Cisitalia and FIAT mechanics. Many effects led Castagna to a slow decline: the first sign came from the closure of Isotta Fraschini Automobili following the collapse of the American market, so the company first lost the best market where it operated and then the best chassis on which it was used to creating their own bodies. The cars progressively began to be mass produced, to be constructed with a uni-body and “tailor-made clothes” were less and less in demand. So in 1954 the body shop closed its doors.
THE CASTAGNA ALFA ROMEO VITTORIA In 1994 Uberto Pietra, expert car connoisseur and collector, and Gioacchino Acampora, architect-designer, took over the rights to the Castagna brand, which had expired for forty years, and wanted to resume the philosophy of the famous Carrozzeria of the early century, that is to propose cars in a unique example and built entirely by hand. Thus, between 1994 and 1995 they built this prototype called “Vittoria”, named after Pietra’s daughter, based on the Alfa Romeo SZ/ES 30 sports car and on the platform and mechanics of the upgraded Alfa Romeo 75 V6 3.0. To move everything, the famous Alfa Romeo “Busso” heart. The name Alfa Romeo “Busso” refers to a family of petrol engines with V6 architecture for automotive use produced from 1979 to 2005. The name derives from the name of its designer Giuseppe Busso. This engine is considered (and has received official recognition) as one of the best naturally aspirated petrol engines, and in particular it has often been regarded as one of the best with V6 architecture. There are numerous parameters in which the “Busso” is considered excellent, such as in delivery, performance, elasticity, efficiency, reliability and also in sound. This engine was the last component built at the Alfa Romeo plant in Arese. The car in question has an engine developed by a company specializing in the preparation of racing car engines for the “DTM” championship. This engine delivers 254.8 hp at 5740 rpm, as specified by the dyno test table (compared to 180 hp for the production car). During 1994 and part of 1995 this base on the Alfa Romeo 75 was built to the specifications of the SZ/ES 30, with front wishbone suspension and De Dion rear with specific geometry. The shock absorbers have been updated with stiffer Koni and brakes with Brembo 6-piston calipers, perforated and ventilated discs. “Tecnomagnesio” magnesium alloy wheels in 8 x 18” front and 9 x 18” rear sizes. The petrol tank is racing safety, patented. The bodywork is all in hand-beaten aluminum and riveted to a specific steel structure, produced by a famous sheet-beater company in Turin. The final construction and painting were entrusted to the Carrozzeria Sonnino of Busto Arsizio (VA). Inside, seats from the BMW 8 series have been fitted with integrated seat belts, specific instruments and accessories from Momo, all interiors are upholstered in dark green leather and matching Alcantara. The styling was considered controversial at the time, the car had a stunning shape for those times, with an interesting extra feature being the all-glass roof, in fact from the double-curved windshield (built specifi-

The Alfa Romeo Gardenia color contrasts with the front and rear ends detailed in black and produced specifically in carbon, the overall appearance is made up of joined shapes and others violently broken. Definitely a personal design and with few concessions to compromises. Perhaps at the time it was considered too futuristic. On March 14, 1995, the car appears in an article in the Italian newspaper “Corriere della Sera” with flattering comments during its presentation at the “Bagatti Valsecchi” Museum in Milan, while many positive comments appeared in the world press after the Geneva Motor Show.

The Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera After an honorable history of glory and full of wonderful cars designed in forty years, from 1926 to 1966, and mostly built thanks to the Superleggera patent, the Touring brand was taken over in 2006 by new owners. The story begins with the naked chassis of the Isotta Fraschini first and then the Alfa Romeos. Carrozzeria Touring had acquired the rights to the revolutionary Weimann construction method. The great success came when designer Giuseppe Seregni was hired in 1927 and it was his Flying Star roadster, built on an Isotta Fraschini 8B chassis, that established Touring’s reputation for stylistic innovation and unrivaled quality. Other Flying Star frames were born, many with the characteristic intertwined fenders. The driving force of Carrozzeria Touring was Felice Bianchi Anderloni. Selftaught engineer, Anderloni understood the advantages obtained by reducing both weight and aerodynamic drag, stating: “Weight is the enemy and air drags the obstacle”. To pursue these objectives, he developed the Superleggera (Super Lightweight) body construction method, always associated with the Milanese coachbuilder, which consisted of an external skin of aluminum panels supported by an underlying structure of small diameter steel tubes. The first Superleggera bodies were built in 1937. Led by Anderloni’s son, Carlo, and designer Federico Formenti (hired in 1940), Touring will create some of the most beautiful and influential cars of the post-war period, starting with the Freccia d’Oro and Villa d’Este models on Alfa Romeo 6C chassis 2500. Formenti’s other memorable projects include the 1952 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante and the 1959 Maserati 5000 GT Scià di Persia, while Carlo Anderloni was also responsible for the 1958 Aston Martin DB4. 1966. Carlo Anderloni and Carrozzeria Marazzi kept the “Touring Superleggera” brand and used it to support the company’s assets until the current owners acquired the rights in 2006. The new company, in the new headquarters of Carrozzeria Granturismo of Rho, is dedicated to the restoration of vintage cars but also to the creation of dream cars and exclusive cars in very limited series tailored to the customer and adhering to the principles of classic design established by the original founders. THE SCIÀDIPERSIA In 2018 the Touring Sciàdipersia was launched, the work of designer Louis de Fabribeckers, inspired by the three Maserati 5000 GTs that Touring built in the late 1950s, the first of which was ordered by the Shah of Persia (present-day Iran), known Maserati enthusiast. The new car was presented at the Geneva Motor Show that year. Based on the mechanics of the Maserati GranTurismo, the two-door offers a retro design with old-fashioned proportions combined with modern details. Only one example of a planned production was made that had to be, however, limited to a maximum of 10 units, with the Sciàdipersia that would have differentiated due to the aesthetic customizations tailor made for customers, but
also for the equipment and power of the V8 naturally aspirated. In this first and only model built, the 460 hp unit of the more performing 4.7-liter version was used. Weighing around 120 kg less than the GranTurismo, the Sciàdipersia accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds to reach an estimated top speed of 299 km/h (186 mph). The base on which the car is made is practically unrecognizable: all the body panels are specially created by the Milanese coachbuilder and only some details of the interior can be traced back to the original Modenese car. The entire passenger compartment is revised with new leather upholstery and exclusive details, such as the aluminum inserts that recall the shapes of the exterior. Touring Superleggera distorts the setting of the original coupe, with a completely redesigned bodywork loosely inspired by the three-volume silhouette of the Touring 5000 GT, albeit considerably more slender. According to Touring Superleggera: “As with any masterpiece, it all starts with a simple concept: the arrow, which slims the center sections to extend the perceived length. Its natural dynamism is further enhanced by the front and rear fender ridgelines. Unusually, but fittingly for a full four-seater, passengers are immersed in the surrounding natural environment thanks to the extensive glazing and the vast glass roof, permitted by the slim architecture of the rear pillar “. The result obtained is more harmonious than the original Maserati car. The exterior color chosen for the specimen made and, now, at auction is called “Orient Night Sky”, which according to Touring intends to evoke a clear sky at night, while aluminum accents are present on the nose, tail and “C” pillar, recalling the original. The front with point-shaped headlights is also very personal, thanks to LED components connected by a chrome plating that crosses most of the nose, combining with two other chromed profiles that emphasize the area of the optical groups. New lines are also found in the bumper air intakes, supported by integrated openings in front of the doors and by unprecedented vents in the front of the bonnet. The side reproduces the lines of the roof of the GranTurismo, modified towards the rear with a totally new pillar that merges with a redesigned rear window and connected to a longer tail than the original model to create a retro look: rounded surfaces come together in this way to sharp lines creating a very sophisticated rear portion. Of the small-scale series of 15 cars planned for production, each would be hand-built to order, and Touring Superleggera has always refused to set a fixed price, as it could vary depending on the owner’s personal specifications. Currently, only one coupe (this car) has been completed, while all the others ordered, and currently produced, are convertibles. This Sciàdipersia is based on a 2017 auto-donor and has only had one owner. Presented in perfect condition, it is offered with the original purchase invoice for € 760,620 and comes with its own set of custom Foglizzo suitcases. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own this automotive design masterpiece from one of the most famous names in Italian bodywork. FINARTE 193

THE AUCTION
Conduct of the Auction The auction is regulated by the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and by the General Terms and Conditions of Mandate. The General Terms and Conditions of Sale can be amended by a saleroom notice posted in the auction room or an announcement made by the auctioneer before the auction begins. If Finarte also allows online biddings, such amendments will be disclosed also through the Website before the auction begins. Bids can be made in person by using a paddle at the auction, in writing prior to the auction, over the telephone or via the Internet (in the latter case, only if allowed in the specific auction). If the Seller is a professional and the Buyer a consumer within the meaning of Article 3 of the Italian Consumer Code, sales made by means of written, telephone or online bids shall be deemed as distance contracts within the meaning and for the purposes of Articles 45 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code. The speed of the auction may vary between fifty (50) and one hundred and twenty (120) lots per hour. Generally, each bid is made by offering a ten per cent (10%) increase over the previous one. Finarte shall be entitled, at its exclusive discretion, to refuse any person from participating in the auctions. With respect to any prospective Buyer, Finarte reserves the right to make the participation in the auction subject to the prior submission of a letter of reference from banks or the deposit of a sum as a security for due performance of the obligations set out in these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, to be returned once the auction is over. Anyone making a bid at an auction will be considered a party directly concerned by the purchase unless otherwise agreed between Finarte and the same by a written agreement, where the latter declares to act in the name and on behalf of a third party, and this is accepted by Finarte. In the event that a person, who has been given the possibility of making a bid in connection with a lot, has a direct or indirect interest in the same, e.g. a beneficiary or a will executor who has sold the lot, a co-owner of the same or any other party having provided a guarantee in relation to the lot, Finarte will include such information in the catalogue. The auctioneer conducts the auction starting from the bid he considers suitable, taking into account the value of the lot and any competing bids. The auctioneer can open the bids on each lot by making an offer in the interest of the Seller. The auctioneer can also make bids on behalf of the Seller up to an amount corresponding to the Reserve, by putting consecutive bids or in reply to other bids. The fall of the auctioneer’s hammer determines the acceptance of the highest bid, the Hammer Price and, consequently, the conclusion of the purchase contract between the Seller and the Buyer. The auctioneer may, at its sole discretion and at any time in the course

of the auction: (a) withdraw a lot from the auction; (b) review a sale offer relating to a lot, whenever the same may deem that it contains mistakes and/or could give rise to disputes; and/ or (c) adopt any measures that the same deems adequate to the circumstances of the case, e.g. to combine or separate lots, or vary the order of sale from the one set out in the catalogue, provided that the lot is not offered for sale any day prior to the one set out in the auction catalogue. At some auctions, a video screen may be operated. Finarte will not be held liable for both the correspondence to the original of the image displayed on the screen and any malfunction of the video screen. Finarte represents that the lot can be declared an object of cultural interest by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism under Article 13 of the Urbani Code. In such case, or in the event that a procedure has been undertaken in order to declare the lot an object of cultural interest under Article14 of the Urbani Code, Finarte will announce said circumstance before the sale. Should the lot be declared of cultural interest, the Seller shall notify the sale to the competent Ministry under Article 59 of the Urbani Code. The sale shall be subject to the condition precedent that the Ministry does not exercise its pre-emption right within 60 (sixty) days as of the date of receipt of the relevant notice, or within the 180- (one hundred and eighty-) day period under Article 61, second paragraph, of the Urbani Code. In the period when the pre-emption right may be exercised, the lot cannot be delivered to the Buyer in accordance with Article 61 of the Urbani Code. Generally, the Reserve does not exceed the Minimum Pre-Sale Estimate announced or published by Finarte, except in the event that the Reserve is the Reserve is expressed in a currency other than Euros and there are significant fluctuations in exchange rates between the time when the Reserve is agreed and the day of the auction. In such case, unless otherwise agreed between Finarte and the Seller, the Reserve shall be an amount equal to the Euro equivalent based on the closing exchange rate on the business day immediately preceding the auction. No “without limit” bids, “upon examination” bids or any bids covering lots alternative to the one indicated will be accepted. Room Bids To participate in a saleroom auction, all potential Buyers are required to take – before the auction begins – a numbered paddle to make their bids. The numbered paddle shall be provided to each potential Buyer by Finarte’s staff at the registration desk subject to showing an identity document, filling in and signing the relevant registration and paddle allotment form. Numbered paddles must be used to indicate the bids to the auctioneer during the Auction. If you are the highest bidder for a lot, you must be sure that your paddle can be seen by the auctioneer, and that the number announced is your number. In case of doubt concerning the Hammer Price or the Buyer, promptly call the auctioneer’s attention. All sold lots will be billed to the person and address indicated upon allotment of the numbered paddle and cannot be transferred to other persons and addresses. Each bidding form should contain bids for one auction only. Alternative bids may be accepted when using the word “OR” between lot numbers. After the auction, those who have made their bids in writing will have to promptly check with Finarte if their bids have been successful. In case of participation in the auction via the Internet, the potential Buyer shall be able to see and hear the auctioneer as well as to make bids in real time. Participation in an auction through the Internet is subject to your registration with the Website and the subsequent registration for the auction at least twenty-four (24) hours before the auction begins. Once the registration with the Website has been completed, each potential Buyer will receive a password by email (which he/she undertakes to safeguard with due care and diligence and not to disclose or communicate to third parties) necessary to access the Website as a registered user and to participate in the auction. Each registered user will be held liable for any activity carried out on the Website by using his/her access credentials and undertakes to immediately notify Finarte of any unlawful use of his/her password or any loss of the same. In the latter event, Finarte will provide the registered user with a new password granting access to the Website, and he/she will no longer be able to use the previous password for access to the Website or participation in auctions. Finarte does not guarantee that the Website is always operational and that there will be no disruptions during participation in an auction, or that the Website and/or the relevant server is free from viruses or any other hazardous or potentially hazardous materials. 256 FINARTE
The offer and sale by Finarte of lots offered for sale over the Internet constitutes a distance contract, regulated by Chapter I, Title III (Article 45 et seq.) of the Italian Consumer Code and by Legislative Decree 70 of 9 April 2003 on electronic commerce. Where a lot is sold, if the Seller is a professional and the Buyer a consumer within the meaning of Article 3 of the Italian Consumer Code, the Buyer shall not have – pursuant to Article 59, first paragraph, m), of the Italian Consumer Code – the right to withdraw provided for by distance agreements as the contract of sale is concluded at a public auction in accordance with the definition contained in Article 45, first paragraph, o) of the Italian Consumer Code. Bids made by Employees Finarte’s employees can make bids at Finarte’s auctions only if they are not aware of the Reserve and if the bid is made in full compliance with internal regulations governing auction bids by employees. 5.
FINARTE’S OBLIGATIONS TO THE BUYER
Finarte acts in the name and on behalf of the Seller, as an agent of the Seller, except for the cases in which Finarte is the owner of a lot, either in part or in full. Upon request of the Buyer, Finarte may provide, at its own discretion and, if the case may be, upon payment, a written report (“condition report”) on the condition of the lot. In the event that, after a sale by auction, it emerges that a lot is a Counterfeit, Finarte will refund any Buyer who has requested termination of the sale contract, after returning the lot to Finarte, the Total amount due, provided that, no later than five (5) years of the date of the sale, the Buyer: (a) provides Finarte in writing, within three (3) months of the date when the same received information inducing him to believe that the lot is a Counterfeit, with the lot number, the date of the auction where the lot was purchased, and the reasons why the Buyer considers the lot to be a Counterfeit; (b) is able to return the lot to Finarte, free from third party claims of any kind, after the date of the sale, and the lot is in the same condition as it was at said date; (c) provides Finarte with the reports prepared by two independent scholars or experts of acknowledged expertise, indicating the reasons why the lot is considered a Counterfeit. Finarte reserves the right to proceed with the termination of the sale even in total or partial absence of one or more of the aforesaid conditions.
Finarte will not be bound by the opinions provided by the Buyer and reserves the right to request the opinion of further experts at its own expense. Should Finarte decide to terminate the sale, it may reimburse the Buyer, in a reasonable amount, for the costs incurred to obtain the opinion of the two independent experts accepted by both Finarte and the Buyer. The Buyer will not be entitled to terminate the contract for sale and Finarte will not make the reimbursement, in the following circumstances: (a) if the catalogue description were consistent with the opinion of scholars and experts generally accepted at the date of the sale, or the catalogue description indicated the authenticity or attribution of the lot as controversial; or (b) if, as of the date of publication of the catalogue, the fact that the lot was counterfeit could be verified only by way of examinations generally considered unsuitable for the purposes concerned or difficult to carry out, whose costs were unreasonable or that could have reasonably damaged or resulted in a loss of value of the lot. 6.
BUYER’S OBLIGATIONS AND FINARTE’S LIABILITY TO THE BUYER
The Buyer undertakes to examine the lot and the relevant documentation before the purchase in order to check if the same is compliant with the catalogue description, and, where appropriate, to request the opinion of a scholar or an independent expert, to verify its authorship, authenticity, provenance, attribution, origin, date, age, period, cultural origin or source, condition, completeness and quality, including its price and value. Any representations provided by Finarte, either verbally or in writing, including those contained in the catalogue, reports, comments or evaluations concerning any characteristic of a lot such as authorship, authenticity, provenance, attribution, origin, date, age, period, cultural origin or source, condition, completeness and quality, including its price and value, exclusively reflect opinions, and can be reviewed and possibly changed by Finarte before the lot is offered for sale. Except in case of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, Finarte and its employees, co-workers, directors or consultants cannot be held liable for any mistake or omission contained in these representations Lots are sold as “seen and liked”, expressly excluding any warranty against hidden defects, and with any gap, defect, flaw and description error. All the lots, including those having - either in part or in full - an electrical or mechanical nature, must be considered purely for their artistic, decorative and/or collective value and must not be deemed working. The functioning and safety of the lots having, either in part or in full, an electrical or mechanical nature have not been checked before the sale, and such lots are bought by the Buyer at his own risk. The descriptions contained in the catalogues and in the condition reports under Article 5.2 above are merely approximate and are provided for the sole purpose of identifying the lot(s) concerned. The lack of any express reference to the condition of the lot in catalogues and condition reports does not imply the absence of any defects. Except for the case of gross negligence or misconduct, Finarte or its
employees, co-workers, directors or consultants may not be held liable for acts or omissions concerning the preparation or conduct of the auction or any issue relating to the pre-sale of the lots. Except in case of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, Finarte’s liability and the liability of Finarte’s employees, co-workers, directors or consultants to the Buyer in connection with the purchase of a lot by the latter is limited to the Hammer Price and the Buyer’s Premium paid to Finarte by the Buyer. The descriptions for cars and motorcycles, including in relation to their history, age, model, changes of ownership, state of preservation and possible restoration processes, technical characteristics, internal and external components, including the engine number (matching number or not) and chassis number of the car – present in the catalogue and/or in any condition report – are given by Finarte in good faith as guidelines to the potential Buyer on the basis of the indications and information received from the Seller, but may not be considered exhaustive and/or verified. All cars and motorcycles – together with the relevant documents accompanying them – must therefore be properly examined by the potential buyer in order to fully ascertain their condition. Failure to indicate any defect, restoration work or of the presence of any non-original part does not preclude the possibility that any such defect, restoration work or presence of a non-original part exist. The descriptions, in the catalogue and/or in the condition report, for watches and gemstones including in relation to the state of preservation and any restoration, are given by Finarte as guidelines to the potential Buyer on the basis of the indications and information received from the Seller, but may not be considered exhaustive and/or verified. All the watches and gemstones must therefore be appropriately examined by the potential buyer in order to be able to ascertain their status. Failure to indicate any defect, restoration work or of the presence of any non-original part does not preclude the possibility that such defect, restoration work or presence of a non-original part exist. Wristwatches declared by the manufacturer as water-resistant may have been opened for examination; Finarte therefore suggests that such watches be controlled by an authorised dealer to check their resistance before using the same in conditions where water is present. Straps made of organic material are associated with the watch for display purposes only. Prospective buyers are aware that the importation to foreign countries of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (e.g. tortoiseshell, ivory) are subject to CITES international rules; prospective buyers should therefore acquire the necessary information on such restrictions before participating in the auction for lots containing, even partially, materials falling within the scope of the above rules. 7. PAYMENT In case of sale, the Buyer shall pay to Finarte the Total amount due immediately – and in any event no later than five (5) days – after the conclusion of the auction. If a lot is the subject of the declaration under Article 4.1.14 above, the Buyer shall pay the total amount due upon expiry of the period for the exercise of the pre-emption right by the competent Ministry. Invoicing of the Hammer Price to the Buyer shall be the exclusive responsibility of the Seller.

Payment by debit card, American Express, Visa or Mastercard can be made only by the card holder or, in case of PayPal, by the account holder. In limited circumstances, and in any event subject to the Seller’s consent, Finarte may offer any Buyer deemed reliable the possibility of paying the lots in instalments. The conditions for payment in instalments must be agreed before the auction. Before deciding whether to grant the possibility of paying in instalments or not, Finarte can request references in connection with the Buyer’s reliability as well as documentation proving his/ her identity and residence. Also pursuant to and for the purposes of Article 1523 of the Italian Civil Code, the transfer of the ownership of a lot from the Seller to the Buyer shall take place only upon payment by the Buyer of the tTotal amount due. In case of non-payment or late payment by the Buyer – within the time limit set out in Article 7.1. above – of the Total amount due, either in full or in part, Finarte shall be entitled, at its discretion, to ask for due performance or terminate the contract for sale pursuant to Article 1456 of the Italian Civil Code, without prejudice, in any event, to its right to claim damages and the right to have the lot sold on behalf and at the expense of the Buyer, pursuant to Article 1515 of the Italian Civil Code. In case of delay in the payment of the Total amount due for a period of more than five (5) business days as from the auction date, Finarte may store the lot with a third party at the Buyer’s risk and expense and charge the Buyer interest on arrears to Finarte at the 3-month Euribor rate provided by law plus five per cent (5%), without prejudice to Finarte’s right to claim further damages. In case of non-payment or late payment by the Buyer, Finarte may reject any bids made by the Buyer or any representative of the Buyer in the course of following auctions, or request that the Buyer lodges a sum in cash as security before accepting any bids. Finarte may offset any amount due for whatever reason to the Buyer against whatever sum owed for whatever reason by the Buyer to Finarte. DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF THE LOT

The Buyer will be indemnified for any loss or damage occurring to the lot after the sale but before the risk is transferred, but said indemnity may not exceed, except in case of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, the Hammer Price along with the Buyer’s Premium received by Finarte. Except in case of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, Finarte may not be held liable for the loss or damage to the frame or the glass containing or covering prints, paintings or other artworks, unless the frame or glass constitute the lot sold at auction. Obtaining a certificate of free circulation and/or export license is the responsibility of the Buyer. 13. SAMPLE TERMINOLOGY Please pay attention to the following sample terminology: • “SANDRO BOTTICELLI”: in Finarte’s opinion, the work is a work by the artist (when the artist’s forename is not known, whether the surname is preceded by a series of asterisks or by an initial or not, it indicates that the work is by the named artist). • “ATTRIBUTED TO SANDRO BOTTICELLI”: in Finarte’s opinion, the work is probably a work by the artist, but there is less certainty than in the above category. • “SANDRO BOTTICELLI’S STUDIO/WORKSHOP”: in Finarte’s opinion, the work is a work by an unknown hand in the artist’s studio/workshop who may have undertaken the painting under the artist’s supervision. • “SANDRO BOTTICELLI’S CIRCLE”: in Finarte’s opinion, the work is by an unidentified but distinct hand, closely associated with the named artist but not necessarily a pupil of the artist. • “FOLLOWER OF SANDRO BOTTICELLI”: in Finarte’s opinion, the work has been made by a painter working in the artist’s style, contemporary or nearly contem¬porary to the artist, but not necessarily a pupil. • “SANDRO BOTTICELLI’S MANNER”: in Finarte’s opinion, a work of the style of the artist and of a later date. • “AFTER SANDRO BOTTICELLI”: in Finarte’s opinion, the work is a copy of a known work of the artist. • “IN THE STYLE OF …”: in Finarte’s opinion, the work is in the style mentioned, but of a later date. The term “signed” and/or “dated” and/or “inscribed” means that, in Finarte’s opinion, the signature and/or date and/or inscription are from the hand of the artist. The terms “bearing signature” and/or “date” and/or “inscription” means that, in Finarte’s opinion, the signature and/or date and/or inscription seem to have been added or from another hand. PROTECTED SPECIES 14.
All lots consisting of, or containing, parts of plants or animals (e.g.: coral, crocodile, ivory, whalebone, turtle), regardless of their age or value, may require a licence or certificate before export, and/or additional licences or certificates for importation into non-EU countries. The granting of a license or certificate for import does not guarantee the obtainment of a license or certificate for export, and vice versa. Please note that obtainment of an import licence or certificate does not guarantee any export licence or certificate and vice versa. Finarte recommends that potential Buyers check the requirements under their national legislation for the import of goods made of, or containing, protected species into their country. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to obtain such import or export licences/certificates as well as any other document required before making any bid. Please refer to Article 11 of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

LEGAL GUARANTEE OF CONFORMITY
If the Seller is a professional and the Buyer a consumer within the meaning of Article 3 of the Italian Consumer Code, and the lot sold can be deemed a “consumer good” within the meaning of Articles 128 et seq., of the Italian Consumer Code, such lots sold through Finarte are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in Articles 128-135 of the Italian Consumer Code (“Legal Guarantee”). The Legal Guarantee is reserved for consumers. It therefore applies only to anyone who has bought a lot for purposes unrelated to his/her business, commercial, craft or professional activities. The Seller is liable to the consumer Buyer for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery of the product “consumer good” that becomes apparent within two (2) years of that delivery. The lack of conformity must be reported to the Seller, under penalty of forfeiture of the guarantee, within two (2) months of the date of which it was discovered. Unless proved otherwise, it is assumed that any lack of conformity which becomes apparent within six (6) months of delivery of the product already existed on the delivery date, unless such assumption is incompatible with the nature of the product or with the nature of the lack of conformity. From the seventh month following the delivery of the lot, it becomes the consumer’s burden to prove that the defect existed at the time of delivery. In order to avail himself/herself of the Legal Guarantee, therefore, the consumer shall first give proof of the date of the sale and the delivery of the lot. To be able to provide this proof, the consumer should, therefore, keep the order confirmation, the purchase invoice or the DDT or any other document suitable to demonstrate the date of purchase and delivery. With reference to the definition of “lack of conformity”, please refer to the provisions of Article 129, second paragraph, of the Consumer Code. Excluded from the scope of the Legal Guarantee are any defects caused by accidental events or by responsibilities of the Buyer - consumer, or by any use of the lot that is incompatible with its intended use. In this regard, it is specified that all the lots, including those having - either in part or in full - an electrical or mechanical nature, must be considered purely for their artistic, decorative and/or collective value and must not be deemed working. In the event of a lack of conformity duly reported in the appropriate terms, the consumer Buyer will be entitled: (i) first, to the repair or replacement of the lot, at his/her discretion, free of charge, unless the remedy requested is objectively impossible or excessively onerous compared to the other; (ii) second (in cases where repair or replacement is impossible or excessively onerous, or the repair or replacement did not take place within a reasonable time or the repair or replacement made previously caused significant inconvenience to the consumer), to a reduction in the price or termination of the contract, at his/her discretion. The remedy requested shall be deemed excessively onerous if it imposes unreasonable costs upon the Seller compared to any other applicable remedy, taking into account: (i) the value that the lot would have if there were no lack of conformity; (ii) the nature of the lack of conformity; (iii) the possibility to implement the alternative remedy without significant inconvenience to the consumer. If, during the period of validity of the Legal Guarantee, the lot shows any lack of conformity, the consumer may contact Finarte according to the terms of Article 14. Finarte will promptly reply to any notice of alleged lack of conformity and inform the consumer of the specific procedure to be followed.

Furthermore, any consumer Buyer residing in a Member State of the European Union other than Italy may access, for any dispute relating to the application, performance and interpretation of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, the European Small Claims procedure under Regulation (EC) 861/2007 of the Council of 11 July 2007, provided that the value of the claim, disregarding all interest, expenses and disbursements, does not exceed Euro 2,000.00. The text of the Regulation is available on the website .eur-lex.europa.eu. Under Article 141-sexies, paragraph 3 of the Italian Consumer Code, Finarte informs any user who can be classified as a consumer within the meaning of Article 3, first paragraph, a) of the Italian Consumer Code that, in the event he/ she has filed a complaint directly with Finarte, as a result of which, however, it was not possible to resolve the dispute arising therefrom, Finarte will provide information about the Alternative Dispute Resolution entity or entities in charge of out-of-court settlement of any dispute concerning the obligations arising from a contract concluded under these General Terms and Conditions of Sale (so-called ADR entities, as specified in Articles 141-bis et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code), specifying whether or not it intends to make use of such entities to resolve the dispute. Finarte also informs any user who can be classified as a consumer within the meaning of Article 3, first paragraph, a) of the Italian Consumer Code that that a European platform for online resolution of consumer disputes has been established (the so-called “ODR platform”).
