Luigi Carlo
The Artist Luigi Carlo was born in Italy, and since a young age he is fascinated by art. He dedicated himself to study this discipline at school, and continued studying and exploring art, experimenting novel techniques and compositions. Growing up in Italy, a country with wealth tradition and Master artists, Luigi admired and was inspired by the masterpieces of the great Italian painters, in particular Leonardo da Vinci. The great Master of the Renaissance, was an innovator in everything he did, revolutionizing the concept of portraiture, developing and introducing painting techniques such as “chiaroscuoro” and “sfumato”. The application of these techniques provide paintings with a sense of three-dimensionality and plasticity, which are utterly convincing. Much of what Luigi learned through his art studies, in particular painting, influenced his artwork, and his career took an ascendental journey. Luigi painting style is unique, he applies classical painting techniques in a modern and contemporary life setting, where tradition and innovation coexist harmoniously. Luigi has done numerous exhibitions both in Italy and England, and he gained a good recognition as a fine artist. Luigi’s artwork was selected and is featured in the international catalogue of modern art.
Genre Painting Traditionally in genre painting are portrayed scenes of everyday life, and people are often depicted at work or leisure. Luigi creates genre artwork in highly realistic style, focusing the attention on individual gesture and the interaction between the subjects depicted.
