Put Dry Fava Beans in a deep bowl Add water to 2 inches above the Fava Beans Add a tablespoon of baking soda to the water Allow this to sit overnight, 12 hours STEP 2, DAY 2: BOIL FAVA BEANS

Empty water from bowl Add the Fava Beans to an empty pot Add water to the pot and fill to 4“ above the beans Bring this pot to a boil and allow boiling for 15 minutes Allow this to cool and drain water from pot

In another pot, add chopped celery, carrots, & potatoes Add a pinch of salt Add the Fava Beans to this pot Add water to 4 inches above the ingredients Bring to a boil and allow this to boil for 15 minutes Allow this to cool and drain the water/broth and save in a separate bowl
