The Watershyppes Clubhouse is no ordinary Golf Club, and first class private dining facilities in the Oak Room - a stunning oak beamed room with picturesque views - affords an ideal location for weddings, comfortably accommodating 120 guests for a formal dinner and dance, 150 people for a cocktail buffet with dancing and 150 for an evening reception. Alternatively, the Piano Lounge seeped in elegant and timeless surroundings, is perfect for a more intimate wedding, seating up to 30 people.

A wedding venue for admirers of fine cuisine, Auberge du Lac, formerly the 18th Century hunting lodge on the Estate, is now an internationally acclaimed award-winning restaurant with a host of private dining rooms, a lounge and al fresco terrace, with a charming lakeside setting. This idyllic restaurant is housed over four floors and can seat up to 62 guests, with a maximum of 100 for an evening reception. Auberge du Lac accommodates only one wedding on each day and gives the attentive personal service and exclusivity required to ensure an unrivalled bespoke experience.

Auberge du Lac, the Estate’s award-winning restaurant, is managed by Michelin Starred Chef Phil Thompson, who oversees all the menus on the Estate and would be delighted to create a dedicated menu for you and your guests. GOLF
Brocket Hall’s golf courses – the cornerstone of a thriving golf club – have been laid out in the stunning surroundings of parkland and ancient woodland, and provide a distinct challenge for golfers. The Melbourne Course is the creation of design duo Peter Alliss and Clive Clark who have fashioned an outstanding golf course within a parkland terrain. Water is the distinguishing feature of the course, together with difficult greens and supreme short holes which demand respect and precision throughout. A unique ferry ride across the water to reach the final green on the 18th hole completes the unforgettable experience. The Broadwater Lake doesn’t come into play on the Donald Steel designed Palmerston Course; instead there is bold bunkering to contend with and majestic avenues of ancient trees. This is the thinking golfer’s course, set in an impressive historic site. A massive 7,080 yards long, it has been likened to Woburn’s Marquess course and has come to be regarded as one of the best inland courses in the country. 16/17 BROCKET HALL

The Brocket Hall Estate sits in 543 acres of mature parkland. Situated just 22 miles from central London it is easily accessible by all modes of transport. Recommended motorway exits are: A1(M) either direction junction 4 / M1 either direction junction 10 / M25 either direction junction 23. By Train: Kings Cross to Welwyn Garden City (27 minutes). An excellent taxi service is available from outside the station door, or a member of our events team would be delighted to organise transportation for you. By Aeroplane: Luton Airport is 7 miles from the Estate and offers private jet facilities. There are car hire facilities at the airport, or alternatively a member of our events team would be delighted to organise transfers to and from the airport for you.
