We’re celebrating 22 years of business with 22 amazing deals – cheers to you! t’s that time of year again… our Birthday month is in full swing celebrating 22-years of our family-owned and operated business. We decided for our birthday we could do with a spruce up, so we have given our logo a real makeover. A new look for the new era of Fine Wine Delivery (did you notice I didn’t say Co?). We are much more than the business we started back in 1997. We now have very strong Craft Beer and Fine Spirits offering; both are in huge growth as our customers, new and old, explore the exciting experiences on offer. Wine is in our heart and at the core of what we do, but that is what makes us so good at Beer and Spirits too – driven by the same passion and expertise. We took a good look at ourselves and what our founding principles were as a business and they still ring true today. But what is it that makes us different? We have led the way in so many aspects of the industry, our agility as a family-owned business has enabled that. The core is our ‘Taste, Rate and Guarantee’

22 DEALS FOR 22 YEARS

that underpins everything we do. Our expert tasting panel reviews thousands of products every year, across wine, beer and spirits. We’re not here to be critics, we are here to make sure every product we sell stacks up in terms of quality and value at any price point. It’s a massive investment in resources on our part, to write independent tasting notes, rate the wines and in that process reject more than 50% of what we review. You will never buy a bad product of any kind at Fine Wine Delivery; we make sure of that. What you might do is select a wine that is not your style…then you have our money back guarantee. But we’ve taken it one massive step further, and utilised all that rich information of tasting notes and painstakingly categorized products to implement Smart Search. The first in our industry to invest and develop a cutting edge, meaningful search tool that allows you to tap into our knowledge and become your own expert. Using natural language (Spicy, berry $30 Barossa Shiraz or

Dry, fruity Rose for $15), you can explore our full range and get accurate results and recommendations as if you were speaking to one of the family, or our expert team in store. Fine Wine Delivery in 2019 and beyond is all about ‘making you the expert’. Cheers, Jeff

hen we asked our dear friends at Gardet for something very special to mark our 22-year anniversary, they really pulled out all the stops. What better way to mark the occasion than with their 120th Anniversary Champagne! A limited-edition blend of 12 harvests: 1943, 1947, 1959 (15% of the base cuvee comes from these 3 vintages), 1988, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2011. A once in 120-year Champagne experience utilising the multivintage blending technique employed famously by Krug. A mesmerising glass of Champagne of rare style and stature!

Gardet 120th Anniversary Champagne NV We couldn’t begin to describe how exceptional it is to experience a Champagne of this calibre at this price (one-time only!). The complexity and richness are magnificent with roasted nuts, biscuit and honey notes offset by truffles, green apple, white peach and sea salt. A Champagne of superior complexity and toasty richness. It’s deliciously dry and an impressive experience that is unbelievable at this price.

irst produced in 1952, Comtes is the pinnacle of the prestigious house of Champagne Taittinger, one of the few that are still family owned. This is one of the greatest prestige Champagne in the world and 2006 is just the 36th vintage produced since 1952. Made from 100% Chardonnay from five Grand Cru villages, only the juice from the first pressing is used. It doesn’t get the profile of the brands owned by the multinationals, but it is unquestionably an ethereal experience that deserves its elite status.
