MARKETPLACE ROUND 1 | 14.45-15.10 UUR
TRACK 1 - 14.45-15.10 Erik de Vries Team Lead Data Science Centraal Boekenhuis Session CB handles the logistics of the majority of books in the Dutch language. In the middle of the value chain, CB acts as both a logistical expert and the connection between the publishers and book stores. This session will explain how a keyword generator to increase the findability of books was developed and implemented and why it did not become a success. The second part of the session will be dedicated to how to forecast demand determines stocking levels.
6
TRACK 2 - 14.45-15.10 Frederieke Anema & Alex Janssen Head of Marketing & Manager Business Intelligence Greenchoice Session
Data Science & Churn bij Greenchoice A journey in which Data Science has brought the Marketing and BI departments closer together, made them work on common objectives, how a churn model facilitates process improvement and clarifies how difficult it is to operationalize insights. In the highly competitive energy market where the switching trend among consumers is increasing further, understanding the churn behaviour of your customers is crucial. And thereby generate the right insights via data science via the churn model.
7
TRACK 3 - 14.45-15.10 Jurgen Faisst Company: IBCS Session From a methodological viewpoint, the notation of management information is very similar to engineering drawings and music notation. The difference is: The visual “language” of these disciplines is standardized using a semantic notation. The IBCS Standards are here to close this gap.

MARKETPLACE ROUND 2 | 15.1O-15.35 UUR
TRACK 1 15.1O-15.35 Hervé Huisman & Wouter Hollander Founder & CEO bij Gradyent (Hervé) Partnership and integrations manager at UbiOps (Wouter) Session Heating networks are an essential factor in the energy transition but need to become more sustainable. This makes the design and operation of these systems much more complex. Using data science and UbiOps' platform, Gradyent helps manage this complexity while delivering, e.g., 20% in heat loss, 10% lower co2 emissions and 20% lower capex. Want to learn how? During our webinar, we will walk through a real-life use case. See you there!
10
TRACK 2 15.1O-15.35 Wiemer Snijders Eat your greens Session Data-driven dead-ends There is now an abundance of data and technology available to better understand the people we are selling our products and services. However, they are rendered useless if we don’t know how to use them effectively. Unfortunately, this is all too often the case. And herein lies the objective of this talk: to counter some of the hype and nonsense in the industry and provide perspectives on how marketing can better itself, inspired by the advances in marketing science. Let’s use data to drive commercial results instead of stopping us in our tracks.
11
TRACK 3 15.1O-15.35 Louis Dourard Author of the Machine Learning Canvas and the founder of OWNML, whose mission is to help organizations design and deploy high-value Machine Learning (ML) systems. Session The investor's approach to ML projects How do you set Machine Learning projects for success? There are many opportunities to create value with ML: increasing productivity, avoiding undesirable events, automating repetitive tasks… But also many sources of cost and uncertainty. ML projects can feel like games of poker: you need to pay to see if you've got a winning idea, and you should avoid going all-in without strong odds in your favor! How can you figure out your odds, maximize chances of success, and minimize costs? By thinking like an investor! In this talk we'll present a methodology in 9 steps, which you'll be able to reuse to set your own roadmap and to maximize the ROI of your ML projects.

Session 2. 3 Foundational Blocks for a Successful Data Governance Program Many organizations agree that data governance is needed, but it can be a daunting program to undertake all at once. What steps do you need to take to ensure adoption and a sustainable program? What should your initial focus be? What foundational blocks should you put in place to build a data governance program and start managing your data as an asset? This session will provide potential solutions to all these questions.
