A CELEBRATION OF IRISH SPIRIT!

On the 17th of March, Fingal comes alive with vibrant celebrations that showcase the very essence of Irish culture, music, and community spirit.

Baldoyle Bay
BIOSPHERE FESTIVAL
Baldoyle Bay is a site of International Importance with EU protections and UNESCO status.
This festival is a celebration of what we have and how we can protect it for future generations.
Event will include speakers from their own area of expertise with the goal of teaching how to protect Baldoyle Bay which is a site of international importance with EU protection and UNESCO status.
Many activities will be taking place also from a petting farm to paddle boarding, with food vans being on site as well.

Wave Regatta returns in 2024 – plan now and be ready for Ireland’s top class sailing event –wrapped in a 3 day spectacular party!
Wave Regatta, a biennial sailing event, is set to take place at Howth Yacht Club from May 24th to 26th, 2024, inviting enthusiasts from Ireland and beyond to compete in a showcase keelboatracing event for all cruiser racing classes and local one-designs.

A mostly free Irish and traditional Music Festival in the fishing village of Howth.
For one weekend in May, Howth will be filled with Irish music of the past and present. Wander from gig to gig like you’re at Electric Picnic but without any entry fee.

With over 65,000 visitors in 2023 and plans for bigger and better in 2024, Flavours of Fingal is much more than just an agricultural event. The Howth Roots and Blues Festival is a music festival in Howth showcasing great Irish and International roots and blues artists. While many of the artists are blues based the festival caters for fans of Country, Rhythm and Blues, Bluegrass, Americanna and we’ve even had Latin and reggae. Basically anything rootsy!

Fingal International Ballroom & Latin American Dance Championships
Dance Sport Ireland proudly presents the International Ballroom and Latin Dance Competition in Lusk on Sunday 13th October.
This competition will promote Ballroom and Latin dancing so the people of Fingal from social and wellbeing perspective, showing not just the beauty of the dance but most important the benefits of Ballroom and Latin American dance in many walks of life. For the young it instills confidence and partnership skills and for the more mature people encourage coordination of limbs, exercise and cognitive skills.
