“To me, ‘sense of place’ means where you feel at home. Something that comforts you. Something that makes you feel safe. To follow the process, I decided my sense of place would be the outdoors, such as walking the dogs along the beach and visiting childhood/ local places. I decided to demonstrate the feel of being wrapped up in an oversized coat and the cold air brushing against your face. I have decided to produce a women’s-wear line for A/W ’17 to portray my message.”
Silhouette development. Over sized hoods, fur hoods, baggy coats. Over exaggerate the silhouette and form of the garment on a women’s body.
Wrapped up in over sized coat. Face showing to imply cold air breezing on face.
Accessory development hats, scarves, gloves, outerwear collection. Colour interpretation
