Cake Support Solutions started over 40 years ago, literally in the basement of the founder’s home. He believed that superb customer service and an extremely high quality product were not only good business, but they were simply the right thing to do. That belief is still held by us today and we are also proud to say that all products offered in this catalog are manufactured in Oregon, USA! Our flagship product line, the White Raiment System, was designed around a multi-board approach to tiered cakes. This approach enables bakers and decorators to trim, decorate, fully assemble, and disassemble, transport unassembled, and easily assemble on-site with no worry about back strain, cake shifting during transport, cracked icing from flimsy boards etc. White Raiment Pillar Boards are the core of this system as well as the key to simplicity and strength. These boards provide the “substructure” that the cake is built around. Intended to be the hidden framework of the cake, these boards give you the freedom to transport or assemble at your convenience yet they are sealer-coated on all surfaces for the sake of visual appeal in case of exposure. The White Raiment line is designed to be ready-touse, right from the box! The cake boards are directcontact food-safe and decorators no longer have to worry about wrapping hand-cut boards in easily ripped foil, or covering the boards with a less attractive doily or moisture barrier.

Late Payment: Finance charges of 1-1/2% per month (18% annual) will be applied to invoices unpaid on due-date. A $20.00 charge/ month or the finance charge, whichever is more, will be applied to the invoice total each additional month the invoice remains unpaid. Collections: A $200.00 fee will be incurred for any account that becomes a collection issue. Bad Checks: A $45.00 per occurrence fee will be incurred if a bank refuses to honor checks provided for payment. Minimum Order (Based on value): There is a minimum order limit of $200.00 per invoice. Minimum Order (Product Quantity): Products are sold in “case quantity” but are also available in quantity of six (6, 12, 18 etc) at approximately + 15% cost. Shipping and Delivery: Delivery is available for local customers (within approximately 75 miles, subject to change) and UPS shipping is available to all customers. For C.O.D. customers, C.O.D.UPS incurs a $10.00 charge or the prevailing carrier charge, whichever is greater, per occurrence. Satisfaction Guarantee: All products are fully guaranteed for their one-time intended use. Understanding the Item Codes: The item codes were designed to be easily remembered and logical representations of our products. The first number(s) and letter(s) in the code represent the board size and shape. The last numbers in the code represent the package quantity. For example “7R-48” is a Seven Inch, Round cake board, and there are forty-eight boards in the package. Another example: “9R2-36” represents a nine inch, round pillar board (R2), with thirty-six boards per package.

Sheet Cake Boards and Oversized Boards
Introducing our Round, Top-coated (RT) cake boards, new for 2011. This partial line of round cake boards offer a fully coated direct-contact food-safe top side, and fully coated edge, and an uncoated underside. These boards are intended to be used on either a single-tier cake, or on the bottom layer of a larger tiered cake. The underside is not coated, and should not be in contact with any foods. A varied manufacturing process has been created specifically for these boards to allow for a lower cost.
Continuing our full line of White Raiment Cake Boards, our White Raiment Sheet Cake Boards are coated with a direct-contact, food-safe coating on the top surface and a sealer coat on the edges. The underside is uncoated. The edges are clean-cut and unsanded. We offer Quarter-Sheet, Half-Sheet and FullSheet cake boards as well as a special oversized board for larger cakes.

Plain Pillars
Our complete line of White Raiment Hardwood Pillars are designed to be used directly with our White Raiment Pillar Boards found on pages 6 and 7. The pillars are 3/8” diameter and are partially coated for aesthetics. They can be easily decorated with a pastry bag and a decorator tip with an opening of 7/16” diameter or larger. Every size from 3” through 9 7/8” is available in 1/8” increments. If you need a size, we can make it!
Also available are uncoated pillars that are simply plain hardwood. They are cut to the same exacting standards as our White Raiment Pillars, but are not coated. These pillars are better for use with darker colored cakes and icing for easier concealment. These ¼” diameter un-coated hardwood dowels are available for those who choose not to use our White Raiment Pillar Boards and Pillars. These dowels can be used to add extra support to stacked cake tiers. Custom lengths are available, just ask!

Pillar Board Assembly Instructions and Tools We offer two package tool sets for assembly. Our first set of tools includes one Quiet Hammer which is a soft faced, non-metal dead-blow hammer that will not mar or destroy the pillars while assembling, and a Pillar Aligning Tool which is a specially designed wooden guide that allows you to guide each pillar accurately during the assembly process. Our second assembly tool package includes the Quite Hammer, the Pillar Aligning Tool, and our sturdy Assembly Base which is a 2” x 12” x 12” portable block with recessed handles. The Assembly Base features a centered hole that will receive the pin from our pinned Pillar Boards (R2, S2) for quick and easy assembly.
White Raiment Pillar Board Assembly Instructions Step 1: Lay top side of pillar board on a solid, flat
table or our Assembly Base. If using the Assembly Base, be sure the center pin on the Pillar Board is resting in the center hole on the top surface of the Assembly Base.
Step 2: With the legs of the Pillar Aligning Tool resting on the board, insert one White Raiment or Plain Pillar into the Pillar Aligning Tool (coated end of the White Raiment Pillars facing the board), center the Pillar over one of the four Pillar holes and let the Pillar rest on the board. Step 3: Stabilize the Pillar Aligning Tool and use the Quiet Hammer to tap the Pillar straight down, through the Pillar hole until the end of the Pillar contacts the Assembly Base (Pillar should be driven completely flush with the top surface of the Pillar Board) Simply repeat these steps for the remaining Pillars! Step 4: (Optional) Once fully assembled, Pillars can
be decorated (not required) using an icing tool with a tip hole size of 7/16” or larger. Simply insert the pillar into the cone tip, and squeeze as you draw the tip along the length of each pillar.
