CarFires/Mercedes Hose Demo

On August 22, 2022, training began with a visit from Firestore who came and assisted in demonstrating the new Mercedes hoses. Perkiomen Wildland Fire Training

On June 6, 2022, Perkiomen Township Fire Company volunteers were presented with an overview and refresheron wildland fires. Firefighters then went to Lodal Creek Park off of Bridge Street to do some practical training using tools available on Field 66 to simulate creating a fire line. Back at the station, training continued with use of collapsible Indian waterpacks. The training was led by Battalion Chief Dan Melville and FirefighterLarry Keown. Combined, Dan and Larry have six years of wildland fire experience throughout Pennsylvania. Constant and consistent training, discussions, plus going through some practical exercises help keep crews ready to respond. - Fire News photos by Ted Hodgins

Tanker66 at Limerick Youth FirefighterCamp

On June 21, 2022, Perkiomen Township Fire Company’s Tanker66 and an all-volunteercrew participated in the 8th Annual Limerick Fire Department’s Youth FirefighterCamp. It was great to see the kids so enthusiastic about learning, listening and asking questions about firefighting and the various apparatus. Lots of safe hands-on experiences had everyone engaged.
