ou can tell us by heading to www.deadlys.com.au and putting in a nomination for that individual or organisation who’s achieved for our community; been a stand out, whether it’s in sport, music, entertainment and the arts, or at the community level in health, education, employment, science, journalism and culture. Each year the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Music, Sport, Arts and Community Awards – aka the Deadlys® proudly shines a national spotlight on the achievements and contributions our people make to our community and to wider Australia. The Deadlys® held at the Sydney Opera House each year on beautiful Bennelong Point, is Australia’s largest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander event on the national

calendar. This year the ceremony will be on Tuesday 10 September

2013. We want as many of the

community as possible to be given the chance to be recognised for their outstanding achievements. So, I’m asking you to get involved – particularly to introduce our grassroots community achievers to the rest of Australia. There are five finalists in each category, so anything you can do to spread the word through your networks would be greatly appreciated.
