police officers in strong words that strict action will be taken if any case related to corruption and negligence comes forth. During the meet-
ing, CM Ashok Gehlot warned the officials that till now the ACRs of both the good officers or the inferior officers were maintained. But this kindness will no longer work in the state. Officers who do good work and perform better will be encouraged while punishments will be given to the inferior officers. CM Gehlot told police officers that if the cops were pro-active on the cases of road accidents, organized crime, cyber crime, taking over the law on behalf of the mob, illegal trafficking of drug addicts, land disputes etc, then crime can be effectively stopped. Interestingly, Ashok Gehlot also said on Wednesday the special investigation team (SIT) formed to investigate lapses in the original probe in the Pehlu Khan case will submit its report “very soon”. CM Gehlot has also told police officers to stay away from political interference so that fairness can be maintained.
