New Delhi: The Budget Session of Parliament was riveted with heating exchanges on Wednesday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi launching a scathing attack on the Opposition and the Congress as he picked apart the UPA rule.
Replying to the Motion of Thanks on President’s address, PM Modi trained guns on the Congress, recalling the scams that were unearthed during UPA rule between 2004 and 2014. PM Modi had also praised the ‘Digital India’ initiative reminding of tough times in nation over technological usage. He also said that the country is extremely confident at the global level.

3 Kids Charred To Death As Hut Catches Fire

Barmer: Three kids were alive as the Hut in which they were playing caught fire. Incident has been reported from Nagana police station area in Barmer. At the time of incident nobody in the family available there, police said.
Narpatdan Charan, SHO at Nagana police station area said that instead of moving in right direction to get out from hut after fire, trio went in wrong direction and burnt alive.

U nder ‘Operation Dost’, India has sent four C-17 planeloads of relief material, medicines, equipment and personnel, weighing over 108 tons (97,000 kg) to Turkey. The planes to Turkey include 99 medical specialists which will set up a 30-bed medical facility in field operation conditions.
Over 100 NDRF personnel, with equipment, vehicles and dog squads are headed to Turkey. Equipment also includes hand and power tools, lighting equipment, airlifting bags, chainsaw, angle cutters, rotarv rescue saw, victim location equipment, life detectors, etc. One Indian missing, 10 stuck in remote parts of Turkey, said MEA.

RBI hikes repo rate by 25 bps to 6.5%
First India bureau Mumbai: Get ready to shell out more for your EMI as Reserve Bank of India on Wednesday hiked the repo rate by 25 basis points to 6.5%. The repo hike will make retail loans such as home, auto, and personal loans and others costlier, and borrowers will have to be ready for higher monthly EMIs or tenor extensions, or both.
Governor Shaktikanta Das announced the decision of monetary policy committee which was passed by a majority of 4 of the 6 members. This was 1st Monetary Policy Statement of the year.
