nion Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday, undertook an aerial survey of the flood affected areas of Karnataka, where 31 people have lost their lives and more than four lakh have been displaced. Before going to the survey, Shah went to the book launch event on the two-year tenure of Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu. Keeping in mind an ongoing media publicity, mainly giving credit only to Amit Shah for Article 370 operation in J&K, a ‘cautious’ and ‘concerned’ Union Home Minister Amit Shah, took pains to ensure that the entire credit of Kashmir Operations goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

NOW, DELHI PUTS BRAKES ON SAMJHAUTA The Indian Railways announced on Sunday that it has cancelled the Samjhauta Express train run at its end of the international border, days after Pakistan suspended services on its side. AUG 14 AS J&K SOLIDARITY DAY: PAK Pakistan will observe its Independence Day on August 14 as Kashmir Solidarity Day, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Sunday, amidst tensions with India after it revoked the special status to J&K.
Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that the situation in state has remained normal so far and no untoward incident has been reported. The announcement came on the eve of Eid festival. The Poonch administration announced that it would relax Section 144 (that prohibits a gathering of four or more people in public places) for six hours to enable people to make purchases for festival.
