fter the abrogation of Article 370 now in what could be yet another historical move, Union Home Minister Amit Shah might REACH Srinagar to unfurl the Tricolour at historic Lal Chowk on Independence Day. The Union Home Minister, after he took over on May 30 from Rajnath Singh, has impressed the country with bold decisions one after the other. Before the Kashmir article issue, he deftly handled the appointments of Governors and in this regard, the new Governor who took over Kolkata Raj Bhavan, Jagdeep Dhankar, has to be given special reference more so, as West Bengal is set to go to Assembly polls in 2021.

GOVT NEEDS TIME AS SITUATION IN J&K ‘VERY SENSITIVE’: SC SC on Tuesday refused to pass any immediate directions to the Centre and the J&K government on a plea seeking lifting of all restrictions imposed after abrogation of Article 370. Twenty-four people, including nine policemen, were injured when members of two communities pelted stones at each other believing a rumour on Monday night in Jaipur, prompting authorities to use teargas to disperse the mob, police said on Tuesday. Following the communal tension, mobile internet services in 10 police station areas have been suspended till Wednesday night and five people have been arrested.
