New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India’s Millet Mission will become a blessing for 2.5 crore marginal farmers. This was the first time since Independence that a government was paying attention to the needs of millet-producing farmers, he added.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Global Millets (Shree Anna) Conference in Pusa, New Delhi, PM Modi said, “India’s Millet Mission will become a blessing for 2.5 crore marginal farmers. After Independence, this is the first time that a government was paying attention to the needs of millet-producing farmers.”
