Karauli: The rescue operations carried throughout the day for searching for five missing persons in Chambal river in Karauli. During the operation, two dead bodies were recovered by 2 pm. Police officials said that the rescue op was started about half an hour after the accident which took place at around 7 am.
17 devotees were going from MP to visit
Kaila Devi temple in Karauli and they were washed away in Chambal. 10 of them were rescued by villagers soon after the incident.
As soon as the information was received, the team of police and district administration reached the spot. The rescue operation was started by a team of divers. In the afternoon, two dead bodies were recovered with the help of divers while search for others continued.
Roof of under-construction shop collapses, six injured

Jaipur: A roof of an under-construction shop collapsed burying nine labours in the Jhotwara area of the city. The nine labourers were working on the construction of the ceiling of complex.
After the accident, the local people informed the police. On information, the Civil Defence team arrived at the spot and started the rescue operation. All nine people have been evacuated, and out of this, six severely injured labourers have been sent to the hos- pital for treatment. As per the police, roof construction work is going on at a shop on Niwaru Road. While working on the roof, it fell on the labourers, burying them on the spot. The work of roof construction was being done on the third floor.
After the police and Civil Defence team, the administration officials also reached the incident site.
THREE MEDICAL TEAMS ON SPOT, LEADERS EXPRESS CONDOLENCES
T hree medical teams were present on the spot. 4 of the ten people rescued were sent to the local hospital in Mandrayal town for treatment.
Minister Ramesh Meena also spoke to the collector regarding the incident. Governor Kalraj Mishra has expressed deep condolences to the three devotees who lost their lives in the river. He prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear the loss.
Former CM Vasundhara Raje also condoled the demise. “I express my condolences to the families of the devotees who lost their lives in this incident.” she tweeted.
