Western disturbance triggers light rain in eastern Rajasthan

Jaipur (PTI): Light rain triggered by a western disturbance occurred in isolated areas of eastern Rajasthan, the Met office here said on Tuesday. Vair in Bharatpur received the maximum precipitation at 21 mm during the last 24 hours. Roopwas received 17 mm rain and Gangapur and Bayana received 11 mm each.

Other areas of Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli and Dholpur also received light rain during the last 24 hours, the Met office said. Night temperatures increased in many parts of the state. It was appreciably above normal in Jaipur division, above normal in Kota division and normal in the state’s other divisions. The lowest temperature was recorded in Bikaner at 5.6 degrees Celsius. The weather remained cloudy in many areas & very dense fog occurred at isolated places.

Jaipur: Miscreants uprooted State Bank of India’s (SBI) ATM machine filled with over Rs 30 lakh cash late on Monday night in Rajasthan’s Ajmer district, police said. Additional Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan said that unknown miscreants uprooted the SBI ATM machine with over Rs 30 lakh cash installed at the Power House intersection. He said that efforts are being made to identify the miscreants with the help of CCTV cameras. He also said that the miscreants probably uprooted the ATM machine with the help of the vehicle they had brought with them.

Sikar: Police personnel from Sikar district contributed Rs. 2.11 lakh in the marriage of a barber’s son posted in police lines. Police informed that Om Prakash, who is a contractual barber, had recently married his son Rahul in Jaipur’s Harmada area. “Due to his bad economic condition, policemen collected & contributed a fund of Rs 2.11 lakh for Prakash’s son’s wedding.

This society is registered with Rajasthan Government & the election of this society was not conducted in a free and fair manner. Singh argued that these elections were conducted by making the bogus members with forged receipts. So, such elections are to be declared as null & void. Also, the respondent parties acted illegally & bogus receipts were formed.
