State Govt postpones Rajiv Gandhi Urban Olympic Games

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board will now impose a hefty penalty on those involved in the practice of unfair means during exams. As per the officials, the Board has decided to impose a penalty of Rs. 10 lakh to Rs 10 crore on candidates found cheating or using unfair means during papers of competitive exams. The Board has made this provision under the Prevention of Unfair Means Regulation 2016. A provision has also been made for the punishment of 5-10 years. The Staff Selection Board has decided to strictly implement these provisions in all the upcoming recruitment examinations.

The guideline also contains directions related to dress code of examinees. Notably, the move has been adopted following a series of papers that were leaked.

Jaipur: The Rajiv Gandhi Urban Olympic Games scheduled to begin from January 26 across the State, have been postponed.

Rajasthan Sports Council shared this information on Twitter. The Council said that the Urban Olympics will now be organised along with the Rural Olympics. We will conduct Urban and Rural Olympic Games with great fanfare,” she said.

About 8 lakh people have registered for the Urban Olympics so far.
