Speaking about the controversial BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Gujarat riots in 2002, Congress Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor said that the argument that it would affect India’s sovereignty was not convincing. He added that India’s national security and sovereignty weren’t fragile.

Talking about the BBC documentary, Shashi Tharoor said, “I am glad that the government has said it won’t interfere with freedom of expression. The youth organisation in Kerala organised the screening as a protest against censorship, which I was also in favour of.”
He further added, “The argument that it will affect India’s sovereignty is not convincing. It’s not that fragile.

Kolkata: Days after sharing the link to episode 1 of a controversial BBC documentary on the 2002 Gujarat riots, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra on Wednesday tweeted the link to episode 2 of the documentary.The govt had on Friday directed social media platforms to block links to the documentary titled “India: The Modi Question”. ATTEMPTED MURDER CASE: KERALA HC STOPS CONVICTION OF EX-LAKSHADWEEP MP
Kerala: In a relief to former Lakshadweep MP Mohammed Faizal, Kerala HC suspended his conviction and 10-year sentence in an attempt to murder case.The court extended the same relief to the other three convicts, including Faizal’s brother. The detailed order of the HC is not yet available.
Jharkhand High Court Grants Bail To Bjp Mla Dhullu
Ranchi: The Jharkhand HC on Tuesday granted bail to BJP MLA Dhullu Mahto, who was convicted to 18 months in prison for impeding authorities’ work and shredding a police officer’s uniform in order to help a person escape from police custody. Two co-accused Rajesh Gupta and Chunmun Gupta were also granted bail along with Mahto in same case.
