Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police have formed ten teams to arrest government teacher Sher Singh for his alleged involvement in the RPSC paper leak case.

During interrogation, the paper leak accused Bhupendra Saran revealed that Sher Singh Meena had sold the paper to him for Rs 40 lakhs. Following the revelation, the SOG sleuths are trying to nab Sher Singh. Meanwhile, Bhupendra Saran will be produced before the court on February 27 after his police remand duration will end.

Meanwhile, Ninety one per cent candidates across the State appeared in the first shift on the second day of the Teachers’ Recruitment Examination on Sunday.

In the second shift, 95.88 per cent candidates appeared.

The exam is being conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board.

The attendance of candidates in the first shift was 91.31 in the state while 91.89 percent candidates appeared in the exam in Jaipur.

Sikar: A member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang was arrested in Sikar on Sunday for his alleged involvement in the Raju Thehat murder case.

Police informed the accused identified as Dinesh Jakhar (21), a resident of Bari area in Fatehpur town, was arrested for allegedly brainwashing the killers to kill Raju Thehat.

“A special team was formed to nab the accused. Based on specific inputs, the accused was detained and arrested from the Pilibanga police station area of Hanumangarh district.

Seven criminal cases have been registered against Dinesh in various police stations,” police said.

Extortionist seeks `50L from bizman, threatens to kill him, his daughter

DUMMY CANDIDATE HELD IN ALWAR

Alwar: The Alwar Police on Sunday arrested a dummy candidate for impersonating an actual candidate during the Teachers’ Exam. “The accused Kailash Saini, a resident of Sirohi, was arrested from Government Senior Secondary Secondary School (Yashwant) in Alwar. When officials checked the ID card and other documents of the accused, his documents did not match with the actual candidate. Kailash Saini was appearing in the first shift examination on behalf of Virendra Singh, a resident of Deeg, Bharatpur,” police added.

Kuchaman: Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Minister Rajendra Rathore during his tour of Kuchaman visited the residence of former MLA late Harish Kumawat and consoled his family members. Jaipur: Two youths riding a Thar were injured after miscreants opened fire on them in Bhankrota area of Jaipur on Sunday. One of the youths has been admitted to SMS Hospital in critical condition.

Dayaram was admitted while Dharmchand was discharged after firstaid. Police investigation revealed that some time back Sonu had bought the Thar from Kamlesh and the murderous attack was due to a dispute over transaction.

4 accused trying to escape custody injured in police firing in Bharatpur

Bharatpur: Four miscreants were injured after they manhandled policemen and tried to escape police custody in Bharatpur on Sunday. Police informed that accused Vinod Pathaina, Chandu Deshwal, Paramveer and Bhim Singh fired gunshots at business - man Lala Pahalwan on February 23.

“The four accused were on a run since then.

On Saturday, they were arrested from Gurugram and were brought to Bharatpur. On their way, the accused started beating policemen and tried to escape police custody near Gunsara village under Udhyog Nagar Police Station,” police said.

Jaipur: A 35-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his mother for the insurance money, in the Amer area on Saturday night, police said. Police informed the deceased, identified as Kamlesh Atal was allegedly murdered by his mother and his uncle and later his body was thrown on Jaipur-Delhi NH. “After the body was spotted by the patrolling unit, an FSL team was called to collect the samples and the body was kept in the mortuary of Amber CHC,” police said.

takes two railway officials into custody in corruption case

First India Bureau Jaipur: The Central bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken two railway officers, posted in Agra rail division, in custody in connection with a bribery case on Sunday. The accused officers were in touch with the MD of Jaipur based Shivakriti International Ltd, SD Sharma and others.

The company had given bribes to officers several times to get contracts and to get their bills cleared. The supervisor of the company Brahmanand gave Rs 2 lakh to the officers on 23 January.

On February 23, he gave Rs 5 lakh to the officers. The CBI registered a case against six named accused and others.

SD Sharma was the chairman of Devasthan board during the former Vasundhara Raje government. He has influence in both BJP and Congress.
