AAP rank & file protests against Modi government
New Delhi (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers were heard raising slogans against Modi government outside Fatehpur Beri Police Station in support of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who appeared before the CBI for interrogation in connection with alleged excise policy scam on Sunday.
Later after Sisodia’s arrest, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said Sisodia is innocent and that his arrest was part of “dirty politics”.

Nava Raipur (PTI): Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday said the party is facing several challenges, which it can meet but what is needed is unity, discipline and determination. In his concluding remarks at the party’s 85th plenary session here, he said the session may be ending but it heralds the beginning of a “new Congress”. “Today, we have many challenges before us, but none that the Congress cannot deal with. What is needed is unity, discipline and determination. Our strength lies in the strength of the party,” he said.
“Our conduct at the national level will have an impact on crores of party colleagues at every level,” he added. He said people’s aspirations and expectations change, new challenges emerge, but new ways are also found out.

Raipur: The Congress on Sunday gave a call to party leaders in poll-bound states, including Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, to work with discipline and complete unity to ensure victory that will “set the tone” for 2024 Lok Sabha polls. In its five-point Raipur Declaration adopted at the party’s 85th plenary session here, the Congress declared that it is ready to work with like minded political parties on the basis of a common, constructive programme to preserve and protect the Constitution and address the challenges. “The coming year will see important state elections in Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana. Party workers and leaders must work with discipline, solidarity and complete unity to ensure our victory.

TWO GANGSTERS KILLED IN FIGHT AMONG INMATES IN PUNJAB’S GOINDWAL SAHIB JAIL
Chandigarh: Two gangsters lodged in Goindwal Sahib Central Jail in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district were killed in a fight among inmates on Sunday, police said. Both were connected with singer Sidhu Moosewala’s killing last year, they said. They were facing other cases as well, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said. New Delhi: Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh said on Sunday that the Government will promote Industrydriven Start-Ups to create wealth and jobs.
Addressing the 37th Foundation day of Department of Biotechnology (DBT) as Chief Guest at National Institute of Immunology, NII, Delhi, Dr Jitendra Singh called for equal stake with equal part- nership and responsibility by Industry to sustain the Start-Ups boom.
The Minister said, Start-Ups will become sustainable, if Industry from the very beginning will identify the theme/subject/product and invest matching equity with the Government. The Minister assured that funds will not be a constraint under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government to promote the “Innovation Eco-Sys- tem” in the country.
Giving the example of PM Narendra Modi’s idea of an Atma Nirbhar Bharat, where In- dia’s vaccine strategy brought together pharma, industry and academia in a partnership with an eye on meeting the current as well as possible future challenges, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the idea behind initiatives like this is to have a sustainable partnership in the long run and provide a sustainable source of livelihood to India’s youth. Aligarh: The body of a 15-year-old Dalit girl was found hanging inside her house here. A case of suicide has been registered and further action will be taken on the basis of the post-mortem examination, they said. The body was discovered by the girl’s family members when they returned.

Mahoba: In a shocking incident of another hit-and-drag case, a man and his grandson were killed after their scooty was hit by a truck that kept on speeding with the two-wheeler stuck under it for a distance.
