Kalraj Mishra on Sunday participated in the seventh convocation ceremony of Maharaja Ganga Singh University in Bikaner. While addressing the gathering, the governor said that this university is named after the former ruler of Bikaner state, Maharaja Ganga Singh and he was a modern reformist visionary ruler.

“Education plays an important role in character building as well as in social and economic transformation. In the era of information and technology, the university will have to adopt such innovations, through which students can make themselves capable at the global level by using local resources,” said Governor. He also called upon the teachers to play an important role in making the youth self-employed and competitive by enhancing their skills along with regular education.

GUV MISHRA VISITS BORDER AREA, MEETS BSF OFFICIALS & JAWANS

Bikaner: Governor Kalraj Mishra interacted with the jawans posted at BSF unit at Khajuwala in Bikaner on Sunday and also visited the border. On this occasion, Governor Mishra said that the bravery, dedication and sacrifice of the soldiers of the BSF is not normal.

“Every countryman bows before this bravery. Due to the indomitable courage of the jawans, the country’s borders are secure. Every countryman is proud of this,” he said. Mishra said that he always tries to communicate with the jawans posted on the border. Earlier, he had also interacted with the soldiers at Longewala border. During this, the Governor met jawans of different states and enjoyed programs based on the culture of different states. The Governor inspected the border area. Raj Hindu Mahasabha chief gets death threat

Jaipur: Rajasthan chief of the All India Hindu Mahasabha, Balveer Bhartiya, has again received a letter calling him an infidel and threatening to kill him. The letter was received by a police officer for Bhartiya’s security. The matter has been reported at Khandela police station. Bhartiya said that he had received death threats twice before this. In the report, Nawab, Imran, Ayub, Najakat Ali, and Mohammed Imran have been named as the suspects who had sent the letter.

People came out of their houses as soon as the tremors were felt in Kawas area of Barmer on Sunday afternoon.

4.3 magnitude quake hits Barmer

First India Bureau Barmer: Panic gripped Barmer where tremors were felt on Sunday afternoon.

People came out of their homes and shops in and around the oil production area MPT, Kawas. However, no loss of property or life was reported.

Locals said that they felt tremors in the area and rushed outside. Collector Lok Bandhu said that he got information through social media. In Gujarat also, the earthquake was felt in Rajkot at 3:21 pm. The earthquake was of 4.3 magnitude. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Pakistan, about 270 km from Rajkot (Gujarat).

Martyr’s last rites held with State honours

Banswara: Army jawan Shailesh Panchal, who was martyred during duty in Dehradun, was cremated with full state honours in Barmer on Sunday. Naib Subedar Shailesh Panchal died of cardiac arrest during duty in the Indian army depot located in Dehradun. His body was brought to Udaipur on Saturday and left for Barmer on Sunday morning. Sources informed that with the arrival of his body, a pall of gloom descended in the area and a procession was taken out from Maharana Pratap Circle to his residence in Khandu Colony. After keeping the deceased at his residence for some time, the body was taken to the burial ground following the protocol. An emotional and tearful adieu was given to the army soldier by the villagers and officials of the district administration. A gun salute was given to the departed soul and the funeral pyre was lit by his family members.
