Take inspiration from each other for India’s betterment”

Surajkund: PM Narendra Modi on Friday advised all the States and the Union Territories to learn and take inspiration from each other and work for the betterment of the country.

Addressing the gathering through video conferencing at the concluding session of the two-day ‘Chintan Shivir of Home Ministers’ of all states that started on Thursday, the PM said that the event is a prime example of “cooperative federalism”.

He said, “even though law and order are the responsibility of the states as per the constitution, they are equally related to the unity and integrity of the country.”

He said that during the Amrit Kaal, an Amrit generation will emerge carrying the essence of the ‘Panch Pran’– advance with greater conviction.

Ladakh: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said the Centre’s aim is to ensure the progress of far-flung areas to fulfil the security needs of the country.

He inaugurated 75 infrastructure projects spread across six States and two UTs, during his visit to Ladakh. These projects have been built by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). He also inaugurated the Shyok Setu at Leh.

After inaugurating the projects, Singh interacted with the locals.

“The people living in border areas are our strategic assets. Infrastructure is being rapidly developed in border areas. We cannot say enough in praise for BRO for the work they have done here,” he said.

PM MOOTS IDEA OF “ONE NATION, ONE UNIFORM” FOR POLICE

P M Modi said the identity of the police force across the country should be identical. Addressing the Chintan Shivi, he floated the idea of ‘one nation, one uniform’ for police’. Modi said he wasn’t forcing the idea on any state but the ministers must give it a thought. He thought this could happen over a long time. Elaborating on his idea, he said this would help manufacturers to make a quality product due to the large scale involved and it would also give the law enforcement personnel a common identity so that they can be identified in all states.

In past few years, all governments have acted responsibly to demolish ground network of terror. We need to handle it by combining our forces. We will have to defeat all forms of Naxalism - be it gun-totting or pen-wielding, we will have to find a solution for all of them. It’s 5G era, we have to be 10 steps ahead of crime world,” PM Modi calls for smart law and order system

TRS, BJP two sides of same coin: RaGa in Telangana

Narayanpet: Amid the MLA poaching controversy, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has hit out at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the BJP stating that both parties are two sides of the same coin and are against democratic values and indulge in politics of money. He accused both the TRS and BJP of horse-trading and toppling governments. “I would like to say clearly here that, for us, BJP and TRS are the same.

TRS helps BJP in Delhi and BJP helps TRS in Telangana. Both parties are against democracy and indulge in the politics of money. They do money politics by buying MLAs and both parties work to topple the government,” the Congress leader said.

Rahul Gandhi started the march on Friday from Yeligandla in Narayanpet district of Telangana and Friday was the third day of the yatra in the state. The yatra halted at Maha-

bubnagar on Friday. The Yatra which began on September 7 from Kanniyakumari will cover a further distance of 2,355 km in its 3,570km march. The Andhra Pradesh leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra concluded on October 21.

Mumbai: The Maharashtra govt has come under fire following the Centre’s announcement that Tata-Airbus C-295 transport aircraft project would be set up in Gujarat, with the Opposition seeking to know why the project that was supposed to come up in Maharashtra went to the neighbouring state.

The project wasn’t the only one which has moved out of state rather in approximately 90 days, total investment of a whopping 1.80 lakh crore rupees through four mega projects and other smaller projects, has slipped out of the BJP-Sena ruled state.

Does this ED (Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis) government belong to Maharashtra or Gujarat? This government claimed that the Vedanta-Foxconn project went to Gujarat due to the earlier MVA government. Now because of whom did this project (Tata Airbus) go to Gujarat?

“I am here to stay!”

New Delhi: The appointment of DGP Umesh Mishra has sent a ‘political message’ to the state bureaucracy as well. And the message clearly states : Ashok Gehlot will remain the Chief Minister till 2023 and the 2023 assembly election will be fought under his leadership. In fact, the Rajasthan police officials had been waiting for the coronation of Umesh Mishra for the past several days because this was also a

‘measuring point’ which would settle the ‘conerns’, once and for all, that Gehlot woul continue and thus, Mishra’s appointment

has made the picture crystal clear.

Mishra has been handed this major responsibility on the basis of merit and loyalty and

his term will last till October 2024. After the appointment of DGP, now Gehlot can take another big decision to make political appointments in 14 UITs.

In fact, this move, along with the transfer of 30 IAS on Friday, is being seen as a major step towards ‘Good Governance’! Gehlot took major administrative steps before leaving for Gujarat and conducted addjustment according to seniority and qualification.

BJP’s misrule sure to end, AAP has no credibility: Gehlot Amrita Garg and Manish Desai

Vadodra: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday said that people in Gujarat have made up their mind to change the government this time.

“BJP’s misrule is sure to end,” he said at Garbada addresing public rally. He also addressed a press conference there.

We can see industrialists do not have confidence in this ‘khoke sarkar’ (govt formed out of bribery worth crores of rupees) and that is why every investment which was supposed to come to Maharashtra is now moving to other states.

—Aditya Thackeray, former minister

It is clear that Shinde and Fadnavis are traitors of Maharashtra who is promoting the interests of Gujarat. Maharashtra has the largest industry in the country. Prime Minister Modi worries that Gujarat is behind Maharashtra. That is why ever since he became the Prime Minister, he has planned to shift important projects and institutions in Maharashtra to Gujarat.

The agreement to build Tata Airbus’s cargo plane in Baroda, Gujarat was done on 21 September 2021. At that time, there was no Shinde-Fadnavis government in the state, rather Uddhav Thackerayled MVA government was at helm. The Aghadi government did nothing to bring this project to Maharashtra.

ANARCHY PREVAILING, STATE TOPS IN CRIME: COL RATHORE

Aishwary Pradhan

Jaipur: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Rajyavardhan Rathore on Friday claimed that anarchy is prevailing in Rajasthan and the state tops the country in terms of crime against women.

"Rajasthan tops the whole country in terms of crime against women. Around 400 daughters are going missing in Rajasthan in a month. The Congress government of Rajasthan is keeping silence on this," he said referring to a media report claiming that girls are being auctioned on stamp papers in some districts.

"This anarchy and jungle raj which is going on in Rajasthan is unbearable. The BJP warns the Congress government and all those responsible for this that we will not tolerate this," he told reporters at the party office here.

The National Human Rights Commission had also taken a suo moto cognisance over the report that girls are being auctioned on stamp paper in half a dozen districts of the state.

Rathore took a jibe at CM Gehlot too, saying he shows helplessness on issues of the public but his wickedness is seen when it comes to political manipulation.

BJP attacks State Govt over fuel surcharge in electricity bills

Jaipur: The state BJP have come down heavily on the Ashok Gehlotled Congress govt after the Discoms increased the fuel surcharge by 21 paise per unit on electricity bills.

“The Congress govt has once again given a shock to 1.42 crore electricity consumers of the state by increasing fuel surcharge by 21 paise per unit in the name of buying coal at

expensive rates from back door. During the four-year Congress regime, an average of 69 paise per unit of fuel surcharge has been imposed on power consumers,” said Rajendra Rathore.

Henry Ford, who was the owner of the world famous Ford Company, had a different vision and way of working from that of other promoters. His lessons were special for all the employees.

He sometimes used to interact directly with the employees and said, “Life is the Ocean of Experiences!”

BHAVESH

The word accountability is given least importance in India. Employees work hard at their work place but they don’t care how much contribution their hard work is adding to their organization profit. The concern of “profit” merely remains till the promoters and the finance department. The marketing and manufacturing department primarily contribute to business and product generation. While other departments of any organization identify themselves as a support function, which is not correct. Be it be HR Department, supply chain department or the marketing department, each department and its head must act as profit-centric head for their organization.

What should be the role of the head of the department and how they can work as profit centric head, let’s take a look. It is usually the head of the Department who has to look up to the administrative affairs of his department.

Generally, what a head of department does is that he monitors his department and employees working under him perform better than other departments of the company. Often, it is also possible that the head of the department is superior to all of his employees just to show to the man-

agement, to resort to internal constraints and policies and to compete with others. A healthy competition between the two departments offers good productivity in the company, but in the competition to prove themselves superior an atmosphere of internal clashes and stress is created.

When we say that the head of the department should act as the profit center head, the meaning of the concept is to change the whole mindset and perspective of the department towards the company. The day when the departmental heads start working considering the point of view of the top managements and focus on how their departments can contribute to the company’s direct growth, they can be called the best departmental head. The head of the department should work with the employees of their department in such a way that each and every employee of the department can share their contribution and show involvement in the company’s growth.

LET’S CONSIDER AN EXAMPLE

Henry Ford, who was the owner of the world famous Ford Company, had a different vision and way of working from that of other promoters. He used to hold regular meetings with all the heads of departments, his lessons were special for all the employees. He also sometimes used to interact directly with the employees and said, “Life is the Ocean of Experiences!” every experience teach and inspire us to do

The day when the departmental heads start working considering the point of view of the top managements and focus on how their departments can contribute to the company’s direct growth, they can be called the best departmental head. They should work with employees in such a way that the staff is involved in firm’s growth

something new. He also used to say to his employees, do whatever you want to do it with your heart and full dedication. By doing things with heart special contributions can be made to the organization.

Henry always advised his departmental heads that if they are able to give long-term and positive vision to the employees and show them how they can contribute and be a partner in company’s growth then you are an excellent leader. The easiest way to achieve this is to create a sense of ownership spirit in every employee. Every work profile should be respected and every work should be done from heart will full dedication. And the person who works with proper dedication will become a partner in the company’s growth in true senses.

The heads of each department should recognize the

strengths of their employees and distribute the work accordingly. Henry always advised employees saying, “Divide your wok into small targets, this will make easy for you to reach the goal. This will help you achieve big targets.” If you take a look away from your goal then it means that you have lost control to reach your goal and you need to focus. The most difficult and effortful work is to make every employee of your team to work in team. If this is an easy task for you then you come out as a good leader but if you are weak leader then employees will not associate themselves with your vision.

The conclusion of the discussion comes out to be that the head of the department should make every employee of his team participate in the company’s work keeping in mind their vision and goals. Some tips.

The head of each department should check their employees to work in a team.

 The head of the department should work together with other heads and participate equally in the company’s growth.

The head of the department should check how each employee can participate in the company’s growth and distribute the work accordingly.

 It is the responsibility of the departmental head to see that every employee looks after their work and works towards progress.

other prestigious project for manufacturing semi-conductors by the Vedanta-Foxconn conglomerate had also been lured away to Gujarat, leaving Maharashtra’s opposition parties fuming. The project is worth Rs 1.54 lakh crore.

Aaaditya Thackeray, leader of the Uddhav Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena said that the project was moved out of Ma-

harashtra after it was “almost finalised”. He said it was a blow to the state government’s initiative for creating job opportunities.

Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar claimed that the promise of Maharashtra getting bigger projects was like “convincing a child”. He has been proved right.

Aaditya Thackeray hit out at the double-engine government. “They always boast of a double-engine government. But although one engine of the central government is working, the state government’s engine has failed,” he said. In other words the nonfunctional engine is unable to effectively assert the state’s claim for more investment. Is it an opportunity for Uddhav Thackeray camp?

India’s first genetically modified (GM) mustard has been approved for seed production before it is approved as the country’s first indigenous hybrid mustard and released for commercial purposes. This will be a major step towards increasing the production of oilseeds for which the country is heavily import- dependent.

Against an annual production of around 8.5 million tonnes of edible oil, India imports around 14.5 mt of edible oil to meet its domestic demand of edible oil.

Genetically modified crops have met stiff resistance from farmers and environmentalists. The first to be opposed tooth and nail was Bt cotton despite suicides by cotton growers due to crop losses. Once introduced in 2002 the insect and pest resistant crop has benefited farmers by cutting expenditure on insecticides and increased production.

As controversial as Bt cotton was Bt brinjal the commercial release of which was foiled by environmentalists. The GM mustard may also require government clearance for commercial release. Environmentalists must understand that transgenic crops offer hope.

Jaipur: Gehlot said that much campaigning has been done by the Aam Aadmi Party, but AAP does not have base in Gujarat. “Those who have no credibility are speaking about the Con gress. 30 IAS issued on Fri day by the State Govern ment. In totality, the list is being considered as a ‘popular and prac tical’ list where CMO had done a lot of home work for the chief min ister. The arrival of a low profile and highly efficient Anand Kumar in the corridors of power as the Principal Secre tary Home is being con sidered as a welcome move, as the ‘style and functioning’ of Abhay Kumar was increasingly becoming a road-block in the fast decision making process of the Home de partment vis-a-vis other higher ups in the govern ment, though Abhay en joys the reputation and goodwill of an honest and low profile officer. Although on health

grounds, Abhay had re quested more than once to the state government to hand him a ‘lighter charge’.

However, the bureau cracy is also shocked at the elevation of Sand esh Nayak on the high chair of Director, Mines, Ashutosh AT Ped nekar’s major responsi bility in Vidyut Bhawan and handing over the complicated responsi bility of MD, Roadways to Nathmal Didel. Ashu tosh appears to be a ‘lucky guy’ who has al ways been getting im portant assignments, one after the other.

Pradeep K Gawande has been given a posting according to his capa bilities, as handing him the charge of MD, RSMM and thereafter Director, Mines was a wrong and laughable move of the DoP. However, through

its Friday’s transfer list, the DoP has corrected its mistake. Notably, the re moval of Pukhraj Sain was finalised from the day when he came into direct confrontation with senior officer in the Finance department, who is known for his ef ficiency & low-profile functioning. Additional ly, DoP has looked at Skill Development Dept after a long time & ap pointed Poonam Chan dra Kishan as its full time Secretary.

Officials like Antar Singh Nehra, Sourabh Swami, Vikas S. Bhale, L. N. Mantri and Suneel Sharma have been giv en new responsibilities. Notably, DoP has ‘taken care’ of senior IAS Shi khar Agrawal and handed him the addi tional charge of a major department like Water Resources, thus making

him the most powerful bureaucrat among his peers. In the past he has handled the depart ment and handing him the reins yet again, is beyond understanding.

Krishna Kunal was on a ‘cold bag’ posting in Election department for long time and hand ing him the additional charge of Animal Hus bandry, Fisheries, Go palan and Minorities department is a sur prising move. Handing the additional charge of RUDSICO to Hridesh Kumar Sharma, the DoP has honoured the official’s abilities.

The position of Regis trar, Cooperatives is considered an impor tant position in the state government and nearly half a dozen IAS were lobbying for this post. It was thought that a young and energetic IAS

would be transferred to this post but, for the time being, the charge has been handed over to Meghraj Singh Ratnu. It seems that com plaining against AAG R. P. Singh has cost dearly to Sandeep Verma, whose work style, per haps, doesn’t match with the current govt. Vaibhav Galriya, who was comfortably perched in Medical Dept & even minister Parsadi Lal Meena couldn’t re move him, has now been transferred & handed the reins of another im portant department i.e. PWD. Minister Bhajan Lal Jatav had put Naveen Mahajan in dock & it is believed that Vaibhav won’t be able to do much either, basical ly because of minister’s intervention in day- today affairs of the de partment.

Every enchanted flower, each brisk breeze, each wintry snowfall, the endless hours and agonising efforts it takes to complement the wearer’s style like Indian girls themselves. You can style ethnic jackets anyplace and however, you choose. An ordinary outfit can become a standout piece by adding an ethnic jacket. Three different jacket styles can be worn over a saree - long jackets, short jackets and medium-sized jackets. This modern way of wearing a saree with a jacket makes it another designer ensemble in and of itself. There are two ways to wear it, either inside like a blouse and wrapping the pallu over the jacket, or outside like a jacket over a saree pallu. Again, the body form is what immediately lends a glam appearance.

Indian design is complex. Go for a black skirt and blouse combo with a colourfully embroidered short jacket if you’re having trouble deciding what kind of jacket to wear with what colour. This instantly creates a ritzy appearance that can be worn for any

Who in the world will say no to pairing an ethnic embroidered jacket with a full-length Anarkali kurta? Some embroidery jackets are finely made with alluring details in them giving a classy yet posh weddingready look. When you have a straightforward Anarkali suit and a stylish jacket with an all-over body sequence, it is pure happiness.

Traditional jackets are also frequently worn by people who seek to give their appearance a sense of authority and power. Such jackets were worn by the royals of Western India during those grand celebrations and ceremonies.

See how the same kurta set can give you a light look when worn alone or a weighty look when worn with a jacket that has delicate sequin embroidery. For women or girls who want to achieve two looks with one dress, this three-piece set is perfect.

The same attire can be transformed into a dual-look outfit. By simply mixing and matching the components of an outfit, it is possible to dress Indian wear in a variety of ways. By experimenting, you can generate a wide variety of fashion trends. Just start with the ethnic jackets if you wish to incorporate new things into your fashion sense. Jackets over ethnic are the finest work wear for a girl who likes to style her ordinary work clothing in a contemporary way.

THE WORLD’S A STAGE”, his view was limited to a metaphor. He could not have imagined that a young, skinny Hindu would become the PM of the UK and pioneer a new World Stage for generations to follow.

The meteoric rise of Rishi Sunak to the highest office in Great Britain is being hailed the world over, albeit through deviating prisms. Sadly, in some dark minds, his rise is being seen as a body blow and a conspiracy against the whites.

But, as a matter of

He has proven that the barriers of religion & colour are high only for the mediocre. To step over them with alacrity, sangfroid & the confidence of a Barack, Rishi, Manmohan or Lal Bahadur, one has to become taller in character, professional integrity & wisdom, all honed by quality education. Such personalities belie the excuses, alibis and selfjustifications of the lazy and corrupt.

Having said that, for such efforts to fructify, the ground of liberal thought (democracy) is a prerequisite, even if partly tilled. Is it any surprise that such leaps are well nigh impossible in autocratic or theocratic states? Only democracies, the crucibles of liberal thought, can make it possible. They welcome pure talent & integrity to break their fossilized thoughts on colour, religion etc and cement their democratic values.

Even though the irrepressible comics & cynics will add grist to their humour & rumour mills, they can never take away the breathtaking conquest of Rishi Sunak, the 57th PM of Great Britain, once the biggest empire the world has known. The trail he has blazed will make it easier for the ones who are sure to emulate his extraordinary feat.

PRINCESS OF HEART

On Aditi Rao Hydari's 36th birthday, actor and rumoured boyfriend Siddharth has penned a lovely note for her alongside an unseen photo of them together. The rumoured couple has remained tightlipped about the relationship but Siddharth's birthday message for Aditi speaks volumes about their true love. "Happy Happy Happy Birthday Princess of Heart @aditiraohydari I pray all your dreams, the big ones, the small ones, and the ones yet unseen, always come true, always for you. Have the best trip around the sun yet. P.S- growing up is for squares. Don't!," read his Instagram caption for Aditi. Although they have not officially confirmed their relationship according to the sources they have been seeing each other for a long time. They fell in love on sets of Ajay Bhupathi's Maha Samudram and since then have been spending time together.

Desi Charmers

The Jonas family's recent looks are the best in the fashion league and it all packs a punch given the patterns and fabrics. Styled and put together in wonderful ways, they looked like a winning team. All in warmed-up and chic perfection, their outfits are giving strong desi realness that could be your formula too for weddings and gatherings ahead.

The family was dressed up in spectacular Falguni and Shane Peacock designs in the latest Instagram post of Priyanka and it was a pretty revelation that bright hues like neon, pink, orange, yellow and so on aren't always the winners. The baby girl's lehenga set with colourful floral embroidery. While Priyanka donned a three-piece set that featured a sweetheart neckline and cropped blouse with a plunging neckline and straps. She wore it with embroidered sheer and floor-length cape.

Malaika's fall look

Malaika Arora steps out in a classic ivory-white knitted sweater paired with a trendy pair of straight-fit distressed jeans. The oversized white knitted sweater features a ribbed U-neck, dropped shoulders, and long sleeves in addition to a knitted pattern which makes it stand out. Janhvi Kapoor doesn't stop inspiring. With every movie promotion, she comes to make statements with her looks. The actress is primarily paying pretty and flawless tributes to ethnic ensembles and we love how this Monika Nidhii saree got itself hooked onto her style list.

Trust to deliver the best with the 25-year-old's latest look. In her case, it was striking with colours and it is good for when you want something colourful such as a wedding or a puja attendee. This lime green creation isn't a clichéd hue, the top reason why this look is worth referencing and giving it a first preference will read triumph.

During the conversation, Charan shared that art is a continuous process that cannot be expressed in words. Being born in Shreeji’s Nathdwara, art was his Janamghutti. But with the aspiration to do something different, the stones flowing in the rivers attracted him and he brought them to life like art. He sketched for a long time in the old temple of saas-bahu in Udaipur itself. Once upon seeing a puppet

show in Rajputana, his artistic mind was drawn towards puppets which later came to the canvas in his Puppet series. He got the idea of Buddha and medita-

tion from the guru at the Vipassana centre. Life is increasing continuously and new subjects are also being found for art. In the coming days, he is go-

ing to put his artistic vision on the letters. He shared that every letter felt like dancing to him.
