CS directs to implement budget promises

Jaipur: In view of the very short time to implement its plans in the election year, the Gehlot govt has given instructions for necessary action to implement the budget announcements. According to the guidelines of the CM, CS Usha Sharma has strictly instructed all the departments to take necessary steps to implement the budget announcements by keeping them in 3 categories.

DGP Umesh Mishra suspends Sanganer ACP, Ramnagaria SHO

MLA Harish Chaudhary writes to CM for 27% OBC quota

Jaipur: Punjab incharge and Congress accused of damaging the wall.

MLA Harish Chaudhary has written a letter to CM Ashok Gehlot demanding an increase in reservation quota for OBCs from 21% to 27%. He wrote that the OBC population in the state was more than 50% and the reservation in the services of the state govt was only 21%. And the percentage further decreases due to various anomalies.

The complainant met DGP Umesh Mishra and expressed his anguish following which the DGP instructed to suspend the ACP and SHO.

MLA Chaudhary wrote that on the recommendation of the Mandal Commission, the Central Govt gave 27% reservation in govt services to OBC. Accordingly, 27% reservation was to be given to OBCs in the state as well, but in 1992, in the case of Indra Sahni and others vs. Union of India, in the decision, the maximum limit of reservation was up to 50 %.

CAG asks State govt to seek permission in Treasury row

Jaipur: The Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government is going to remove the treasury and sub-treasury and create its own separate pay and accounting system. The govt has refused to provide accounting information to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). According to sources, the CAG has also written a letter to the Raj govt saying that the it is vio- lating the constitution.

Quoting Article 150 of the Constitution, it was said that it is mandatory to keep the Union and the States in such form so that the President can take any decision on the advice of the CAG. Although the Gehlot govt is thinking of giving powers to its different departments through the pay and accounting system.

In a letter written by the federal auditor to the CS of Rajasthan, it was said that the head of the CAG office had taken up the matter. It has been said in the letter that before making changes in the treasury system, it is necessary to take permission of President and the CAG.
