Jaipur (FIB): Cabinet Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas and his father Thakur Lakshman Singh visited Vidyadhar Nagar Samadhi Sthal to pay tributes to former Vice-President late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat on his death anniversary.

Khachariyawas said that Shekhawat was unhappy with BJP in his last days.

Sikar: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the biggest problem of politics is the emptiness of ideas. “Bhairon Singh Shekhawat stayed with principles and never compromised with his ideology. Politics for Shekhawat was a medium to serve people and an instrument for socio-economic reform,” he said while addressing a programme on the death anniversary of former V-P Bhairon Singh Shekhawat at Khachariyawas village in Sikar.

Gadkari, who represents Nagpur constitu- ency, said the ‘politics of service’ doesn’t come with talks, books or research, but with actions. He said the work on Delhi-Jaipur electric highway is on and when electric buses will run, the ticket cost will be Rs 30 lesser to the present fare. Sikar: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari visited Khatu Shyamji town of Sikar district and held a meeting at Hotel Lakhdatar with NHAI officials where former CM Vasundhara Raje, BJP State Prez CP Joshi, LoP Rajendra Rathore & officers were present. The leaders also prayed at the temple. Gadkari gave a gift to Shyam devotees by announcing a 7 meter service road for pedestrians from Jaipur to Reengus, an overbridge at Bikaner stand in Reengus, Ring road from Jeen Mataji to Salasar via Reengus to Khatudham. He also gave consent for construction of an overbridge in Manda NH-52 and Palsana and asked to prepare the DPR. MP Sumedhanand Saraswati complained about not preparing DPR earlier. Sikar: BJP State president CP Joshi referred to Bhairon Singh Shekhawat’s statement that politics was “Kajal ki Kothri,” and said that he was such a personality, who did politics of purity and cleanliness throughout his life.

Sikar: Former CM Vasundhara Raje said that former V-P Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was deeply hurt when he was undergoing heart surgery in Cleveland in 1996, whereas, an ‘operation’ was going on in Jaipur to topple his govt. However, Congress didn’t succeed in this. Raje said that Bhairon Singh ji shared cordial relations with politicians of all parties. This didn’t mean that they were colluding. Whenever it came to organisation, Bhairon Singh ji used to stand firm like a rock,” Raje said. “It was because of him that I got the opportunity to become the first woman Chief Minister of the state,” she said.

SHEKHAWAT WAS AN INSTITUTION IN HIMSELF: RAJENDRA RATHORE

Sikar: Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore in his address, said that the land of Khachariyawas has produced leaders like Bhairon Singh Shekhawat. He said that Shekhawat was an institution in himself who nurtured many leaders like him (Rathore).
