This IPL has not been short of batting brilliances and another fine example of it was displayed by Rinku Singh from Kolkata Knight Riders as he hit 5 sixes of the final over to win against Gujarat Titans. His stupendous hitting was cheered by everyone around the ground and even those who were supporting Gu- jarat couldn’t hold themselves from marvelling at the new cricketing star being born. His team needed 28 off the final 5 balls when Rinku opened his arms to hit the next 5 balls out of the park. It’s a remarkable feat that may never be paralleled in terms of skill and drama - and will remain etched in people’s minds forever. There have been plenty of exceptional bowling spells on display this season as well. Mohammed Shami’s 4 wicket for 7 runs for Gujarat Titans against Delhi Capitals is one of the best bowling returns during powerplay in IPL history. Mark Wood’s spell of 5 wickets for just 14 runs which helped Lucknow Super Giants defeat Delhi Capitals by 50 runs, was also one of the fiercest bowling spells this season.
