MERA SAPNA, MERI MARUTI ’ WITH MARUTI MAN

Manoj Jagyasi, Chief Business Officer of Bharat24-Vision of New India interacts with Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer of Maruti Suzuki India Limited about the future of small cars, expected entry of Maruti in EV space, news channels stand in the Maruti Suzuki’s Marketing Strategy, controversy around safety of Maruti cars and lot of more. Excerpts...

How did the journey or a path to become a leader started in your life?

Shashank Srivastava: My life journey has been very interesting and I have learned everything from the people around me like my colleagues and friends. I believe that when you start a new phase in your life, like after completing college or education, that period is all about learning. I believe that a child who learns from the people around and tries to perform it as well becomes a good leader.

 Do you think switching jobs in today’s world is important or a person should stick to one job only like you are doing it passionately since last 34 years?

If we distribute according to media like digital, TV and print then digital is 30%, TV is 34%, print is 24% and the rest is there like radio, etc. In TV, the target group is in 3 genre which are very effective and those are news, sports and general entertainment.

I believe that yes, it is not normal in today’s time to be in 1 job for 34 years, however I am still doing it because I have been treated well by the organisation and when I joined the company Maruti Suzuki was a well-established name and I was also very passionate about cars since my childhood days. From

and down alongside my career also have grown with Maruti Suzuki. My passion towards cars, enthusiasm to learn new things got me still connected with organisation and consumers also.

 How did you bring back the first ever Maruti Suzuki 800 car from Sardar Harpal Singh ji?

This is one of the most interesting stories related to Maruti Suzuki. Yes, the Maruti 800 car is one of the most iconic cars of India. Sardar Harpal Singh was the first customer and got his car from Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi & the iconic number was DIA6479. Harpal Singh was very fond of his car and the company tried so many times to get the car back from him but they were unable to do so. Then one day Harpal Singh agreed to give the car and the organisation gave him the offer. The organisation brought back the car to the office and worked on it to put it on display in the office.

Regarding the controversy of rating and broadcasters going out of race, we have found a solution that other than all these, they are doing some of their own research for the ground check so that we can find out that why the difference is so big between ratings and the response from SPENDS. The broadcasters shouldn’t have walked out of ratings system, instead better is to be there in the system to find out the possible solution.

 What are the differences between features and prices of Fronx and Jimny?

Both the cars are 4 metres in length and this size SUV is one of the biggest segments in the passenger vehicle industry. Well, in this segment two more segments emerged from which one is lifestyle in which people who are in urban areas, who want to experience off-roading or just want to portray their image will love Jimny. The other segment are those people who are drill breakers. These people are tech-savvy, young and want to experience something new. For these consumers, Fronx is the best suitable option. Well, pricing for both the cars will be very competitive. If we talk logically then the pricing of the Fronx will be between Baleno and Brezza.

 Where does a news channel stand in the Maruti Suzuki’s Marketing Strategy?

Bhopal (PTI): The Madhya Pradesh forest department has asked the Centre for an “alternate” site for cheetahs currently introduced at the Kuno National Park, which has seen the death of two felines in less than a month, with officials citing lack of logistical support and space.

A senior forest official said they do not have enough logistical support for the upkeep for the cheetahs, brought in two batches of 8 and 12 felines from Namibia and South Africa respectively since September last year. “We need nine staffers to keep an eye on one cheetah round-theclock. We don’t have enough hands,” the official told PTI requesting anonymity.

Asked about the space shortage, the official said it was secondary and added that “not just space, we

need a lot of logistics.”

Notably, before the cheetahs were imported, some experts had raised doubt over the space shortage likely to affect the cheetah reintroduction project at the Kuno National Park (KNP), which has a core area of 748 sq km and buffer zone of 487 sq km.

On Sunday, the KNP witnessed a second cheetah fatality in less than a month as a six-year-old male feline named Uday,

translocated from South Africa in February, died.

The exact cause of the feline’s death is not identified yet, an official earlier said.

The incident is seen as a major setback for the ambitious ‘Project Cheetah’ under which 20 felines were translocated to KNP in Sheopur district from Namibia and South Africa in separate batches in September 2022 and February this year.

BEAUTEOUS

There isn’t a summer outfit that can’t be improved with a little additional swirl and colour, and pairing a wacky tie-dye item with an otherwise simple outfit could be the simplest way to achieve it. Think again if you believe that the cool patterns belong to college days. The vibrant pattern is getting ready for a big season, and this time it’s more sophisticated. Choose opulent designs with dramatic brushstrokes and colours reminiscent of the sunset, such as accessories in muted orange and blue or peaceful blue. Instead of going all out, the psychedelic design might be used in more subdued ways.

Tie-dying is a simple colourful method to add fun to any garment, whether it’s a twist on the traditional like the ring dye technique, dip dye, or the nostalgic Indian tie-dye

traditions of Bandhani and lehariya. Go for more upscale styles and steer clear of band tie-dyed Tshirts. A basic white tank top and these fitted Dries Van Noten pants combine to create a look that is both stylish and cool. If wearing tie-dye clothes is not your style, consider accessorizing with tie-dye pieces. A necklace with a ring-dyed design or a pair of ombre socks may be a simple way to add some excitement.

Summer is here. Enjoying outdoors under the big yellow sun and surviving the summer heat can be a little challenging. Is the fear of getting tanned forcing you to avoid going out? Tanning is unavoidable, but you can easily remove sun tan at home with some simple ingredients.

NATURAL HOME REMEDIES TO REMOVE SUN TAN

Try these simple Ayurvedic ways to get rid of tanning at home outlined by Shreedha Singh, Co-Founder of T.A.C - The Ayurveda Co.

 AYURVEDIC BODY MASK

This ayurvedic body mask requires two teaspoons of triphala churna, a pinch of turmeric, one teaspoon of besan, and a few drops of rose water. Apply this combination to the affected tanned area and rinse after 15 minutes.

 COFFEE BODY SCRUB

Add one or two teaspoons of almond or coconut oil, half a spoonful of sugar, and a few drops of lemon juice to one tablespoon of filter coffee (dry powder or filtrate). After thoroughly blend-

ing the ingredients, gently massage your tanned body parts. Rinse it off after some time, then pat it dry. The finest results come from using this twice each week.

 PAPAYA MASK

Papaya is one of the best ingredients for skin care. The fruit contains enzymes that help whiten and detan the skin. Additionally, it helps treat skin ulcers and can be beneficial for removing tan from the body. Combine one tablespoon of honey and half-ripe papaya pulp in a bowl. Next, apply it gently to the tanned areas and massage it for ten minutes. Allow it to rest for another 20 minutes. After washing with cold water, apply a mild moisturizer. Use this mask at least twice a week for quick results.

 NALPAMARADI THAILAM

Regular body oiling with the Ayurvedic "Nalpamaradi Thailam" lightening and bright-

ening oil aids in detan and keeping the body supple and nourished.

 TURMERIC AND BESAN PACK

Mix two teaspoons of besan, one teaspoon of milk or curd, and one teaspoon of turmeric powder to make a thick pack. Apply the paste to your sun-affected skin gently and uniformly for 30 minutes, and wash it off with warm water.

 BANANA AND HONEY MASK Mash some overripe bananas with a spoonful of honey, a few drops of milk, and malai. This mixture lightened the skin when applied to tanned body parts and rinsed off after 15 minutes.

 COCONUT MILK

This de-tanner is all-natural and easily accessible. Vitamin C and lactic acid are abundant in coconut milk, which helps to eliminate tanning from the skin ef-

fectively. Additionally, it is very moisturising and nourishing, which also keeps your skin hydrated. To use: Drench a cotton pad in fresh organic coconut milk. Apply it evenly to the face and neck and let it absorb in the skin for 15 minutes. Wash it off with normal water.

 MASOOR DAL, ALOE VERA, AND TOMATO PACK

Make a paste using aloe vera puree, tomato paste, and lentils. Spread the paste to the tanned areas of your body, let it sit for thirty minutes, and then rinse. Apply this mask at least twice a week for optimum results.

 RICE FLOUR BODY SCRUB

Take 1-2 tablespoons of rice flour and combine it with some raw milk. Apply the mixture by blending and gently massaging it with your fingertips on the face, neck, and other tanning-prone body regions. After leaving it on for twenty minutes, rinse it off with normal water. Apply this homemade scrub twice or thrice a week to get rid of the tan naturally.

APPLY SUNSCREEN

Maintain your skin care regimen because tanning takes around a month or two to remove. To prevent further tanning, apply sunscreen frequently to your body.

Remember that your everyday kitchen ingredients are enough to beat the heat and protect your skin this summer.
