“This is Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s last budget before the Lok Sabha elections. Mumbai: After the Union Budget 2023-24 was presented on Wednesday, Shiv Sena – Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray leader Aaditya Thackeray blasted the Centre for not making provisions for Maharashtra.
Criticizing the Budget, the former state minister said, “What has been achieved from the Union Budget? That is the big question. In the state (Gujarat), where the BJP won more than 150 seats in the Assembly, projects of firms such as Vedanta-Foxconn, Tata Airbus, and the International Financial Centre were shifted. They have also received more concessions (than Maharashtra). This budget has rubbed salt on Maharashtra’s wounds.”
