Addressing the media in Pimpri-Chinchwad, AAP’s regional vicepresident Haribhau Rathod said, “The party’s local workers and the central leadership have discussed it and de- cided to participate in the Chinchwad and Kasba Peth Assembly bypolls. We will announce our candidates in the next two days,”
He added that the party is confident of its chances.
“We don’t do emotional politics. We do not accept the politics of sympathy. In a democracy, no constituency is dominated by anyone. However, Jayant Patil, the Maharashtra state unit chief of the Nationalist Congress Party, has rubbish such claims.
When asked if Tambe’s victory in Nashik would be a win for the BJP, Patil replied, “Even if Satyajeet Tambe wins in Nashik, it will not be a win for the BJP. Satyajeet is an Independent candidate.”

Speaking further, Raut said, “All the voters in Nagpur have shown that they love the Maha Vikas Aghadi more than the current government. In fact, the Maha Vikas Aghadi has won the Nagpur seat held by BJP for 12 years.”
