Chor Mandal: Remarks aimed at particular group, Raut says
First India Bureau Mumbai: Responding to the breach of privilege notice issued by the Maharashtra Assembly Speaker, Shiv Sena - Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said that his “chor-mandal” remarks were directed only towards a specific group and not all MLAs. He has not done anything or said anything with an intention to insult the state legislature, he added.
“I have been a Rajya Sabha MP and know the importance of Assembly, the statements were directed towards only a specific group (Shinde camp) and not all MLAs,” Raut said.

Narwekar on Wednesday said he had accepted Raut’s request for more time to submit a written clarification on his “chor-mandal” remark.
“I have received a communication from him today. The response was sought as part of natural justice. My view was that the remarks referring to the legislature as a body of thieves' was an insult to the House,” Narwekar
