White is the lightest colour, meaning purity, innocence, and integrity.

It is considered to represent perfection, as it is the purest and most complete colour. It is the colour that represents new begging and erases any trace of past actions. It is like a piece of white paper not being written yet. It leaves the mind open and free to whatever it might create in the way. White colour is a classic, whatever the fashion of any particular time white is always in fashion. White is one of the few colours that is easy to match with most outfits and also never goes out of fashion, especially in the summer sunshine. The colour white is mostly worn during the summer. Although, it should be worn during the entire year and not confined to just one season. It is also not the easiest colour for wearing because it “gets dirty” quickly. White can be worn to feel uplifted. It conveys a feeling of newness, so it’s a nice colour to wear on the first day of a new endeavour. White is classic, simple yet versatile, and it looks great on Indian skin tones. Colours play a big role in the fashion sense but the white colour in fashion staples makes it a stand-alone piece. There are several white outfits that are trendy and should be a part of every individual’s wardrobe. White-onwhite is considered an uplighting outfit and makes an indi vidual feel more con fident. More than men, women are seen using this col our as a symbol of power. The white shirt is the most com mon staple in every one’s closet as it is a go-to outfit when nothing comes to mind. White shirts paired up with dark tops are one of the most common styl ish looks. Brides are also dropping the idea of wear ing traditional red and other vi brant colours in their wedding functions and choosing white lehengas instead. We can say that ‘white colour is the new dark’ currently. But not only white lehenga, other white ethnic outfits like sharara, saree, suits, sherwani, etc are also common these days. White is a universal colour and is everyone’s first choice when it comes to fashion, be it casual or traditional.

We are excited to host the glamorous Fashion Connect event at Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel for the third time in a row. The first two editions were a success where we welcomed more than 200 invitees and VIPs and I’m sure this year the teams will go beyond all expectations to deliver an amazing show.

I am very excited as we will get to see the astonishing collection of famous Bollywood designer Anju Modi, I do a lot of shows in Dubai and this city is very close to my heart, and we will try to make this season more interesting from the previous seasons.
