Pune: More than three years after he became Chief Minister in an early morning swearing-in ceremony, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and current Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has stirred up a ruckus in the state’s political circles.

Now, in the face of the inevitable backlash from the Maha Vikas Aghadi allies—the NCP, Congress and Uddhav Thackeray’s faction of the Shiv Sena— Fadnavis has made another explosive statement on the issue.

Speaking to reporters in Pune, Fadnavis said, “I have only spo - ken of half of what happened. When a suitable time comes, I will tell you what is left.”

He added: “I will say this much: Whatever I have said, was the truth. You people have taken different meanings out of it. But what did I say? Just go through my press conference at that time, and see what I said at that time. If you see all those things, you don’t even need any other proof. Whatever the remaining half of the story is, it will be revealed when the time is right.”

Fadnavis had met with MP Girish Bapat on Wednesday to enquire about the latter’s health. He addressed the press after his visit to the senior BJP leader.
