“I am the Cofounder and Chief Operating Officer at RELATED, a multi-award winning Martech company offering loyalty and reward solutions for brands across industries in the MEA region. I come from a marketing background and I have worked in the tech industry for more than 20 years. Before RELATED, I was heading the channel marketing in EMEA for Seagate Technology where I had the chance to lead on the channel marketing strategy and plan execution with leading brands such as Amazon and Best Buy. I am part of CX Women and WiiN Global – Women in Incentives Network associations, a space for top female leaders in the global Incentive and Loyalty industry, as well as Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), the UAE’s leading platform for the personal & professional development of business women. I was recently named as top five influential leaders in Tech & Telecoms in 2023 by the Africa Tech Festival and participated in several mentorship programs, supporting women to strive in their careers.”

I have overseen many initiatives over the last 8 years and it made me proud of how organically we were able to establish a spirit of inclusion, acceptance, and equality. My advice to women in our company is that the only way to overcome stereotypes and socially imposed barriers is not to wait to be entitled but to empower themselves with knowledge,, and confidence to speak up, be proactive, and push for opportunities that align with their strengths.”

“Spirituality, aligned, fulfilled and happy” were the feelings Olatz shared with us when we asked where she sees herself in 10 years.

The same way Olatz values her work, she also values her health and time spent with her family as it is fundamental to maintain a stable life in a sustainable and long lasting manner.

“Achieving my professional dreams and having balance between work and family whilst having my hobbies fulfilled too, such as sport and music. But most importantly, I hope to be in great health and surrounded by my dear mother and my precious daughter which means the universe to me.They really are all my purpose in this life. I do everything I do for them and their happiness and future.”

She added when explaining how her mother and daughter also serve as the main motivation for her to keep working to accomplish her future goals.

Motherhood had a profound impact in Olatz life, as it was filled with lessons she has learned and the values she holds dear as a result of being a mother.

“Being a mother has put my feet on the ground, has taught me the meaning of selflessness, of compassion, true deep love that knows no boundaries or has any limitations. It has helped me understand the reason I am here, alive, to leave the world better than I found it and raise a powerful woman that will achieve great things and hopefully sees me as an example to be guided by.”

Olatz shared when explaining that all women possess inner strength, resilience, and that every woman is a “superwoman” in her own right and should never forget their inherent power and capabilities. When asked about her future business goals besides all the investment she currently has, Olatz replied:

“I wish to be able to open several non profit organizations across beautiful countries that I’ve had the pleasure to discover. Especially for children and hospital patients. I’ve seen both sides of this world and there’s nothing that breaks my heart more than young souls suffering in this world. If I could just help a single child everyday my life would have a greater meaning to me.”

“I am a very demanding person, detail-oriented, and I always expect the best when I pay for a service. After spending a few years in Dubai, I realized how busy the schedules of high-net-worth individuals and business people can be. They often have to travel for work or to buy properties in Dubai, and in the meantime, there are many services to manage. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for a personal assistant to arrange all of these by themselves, especially in a city they are not based in. Therefore, I wanted to create a service where clients can trust us completely, allowing them to focus on their own business. This is how I reached the point of creating a proper lifestyle management consultancy. In 2013, I started in nightlife, booking tables at the best restaurants and clubs, and building relationships with clients. Eventually, I transitioned into the yacht business, where I’ve been for over eight years. From there, I began creating experiences, organizing birthdays and special occasions, and eventually managing large corporate events for my clients’ companies.” She described with visible enthusiasm.

biggest rentals in the UAE, a villa for 2 million AED per month for a well-known family, during the COVID-19 lockdown. Holiday homes became a lifeline. Families and friends needed private, safe spaces to reconnect. This experience gave me a vision, and I am proud to say I am the first to book the best villas for short-term rentals in Palm Jumeirah with the highest rents.” She blushed with pride.

Running a business often means taking on various roles and responsibilities, from marketing and sales to operations and customer service. Balancing these different areas of my business is demanding and requires effective time management and prioritization.

Maintaining work-life balance is challenging especially as a mother balancing both my business and family responsibilities. It’s important to prioritize self-care, set boundaries, and seek to maintain overall well-being.

Overall, entrepreneurship is a rewarding but challenging journey. The mindset has to stay beyond regardless of circumstances.Clearly define your short-term and long-term goals for your business. Having specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (genius) goals. Capturing inspirational images in my mind. Prayer & time for meditation traveling to change the temporality of the environment and connect with other cultures and fasting at some period of time.

Create a routine: Establish a daily or weekly routine that includes wake up at 5 in the morning dedicated time for different activities such as planning, marketing, set up client strategy, and administrative tasks dedicate time in my agenda for Sillage Association, attend to the UA, UN and UNESCO, Waterfalls UAE conferences, answer to the communities on public platform and giving back as a contributor is very important to me. As a general advice of life I will clearly say that surrounding yourself with positive loyal influences is the best gift. Be a supportive and solution oriented person.
